Dancing forest
The dancing forest is a section of coniferous forest located on the Curonian Spit (Kaliningrad Region, Russia), which is characterized by inclined and curved trunks of trees growing there. It is a local tourist attraction, part of the Curonian Spit National Park.
The reason for the deformation of the trees is the caterpillars that eat the tops of the pines and they begin to grow lateral buds. The trunk is deformed and the tree takes on an unusual shape.
