Car exhaust is harmful to the environment. Smoke and soot particles form toxic smog. Plants along the roadway react acutely to this. Absorbing dangerous compounds, they look dull and painful.

Draining detergents, good additives and other household chemicals.

Agricultural activities also contribute to the pollution of the hydrosphere. Nitrates, phosphates and pesticides that were supposed to fight weeds get into the water.

Oil spills, such as pipeline accidents or oil tanker shipwrecks, can lead to serious water pollution.

Industrial enterprises can release various chemicals into the water, such as heavy metals, petroleum products, solvents and other Industrial waste.

Conclusion
Water pollution is a serious problem of mankind, but there are many ways to solve it: learn to take care of natural resources, create more advanced water purification mechanisms, introduce waste-free technologies in industry, reuse treated wastewater (in agriculture, for example), etc. It is quite possible and necessary to deal with this problem. And given the fact that science does not stand still, we can hope that we will see the results of this struggle.
