1722 as a military fortification Kainsk Pass to
protect against attacks of Kirghiz.
It was on the bank of the Om. There were no big

were crooked and narrow. Before the October
Revolution such famous people as Chekhov,
Kuibyshev were here. From the books we learn
about the merchants of this town. They were
Shkroev, Livshits, Volkov, Erofeev, Maslov,
Pyatkov and Levak.
