Almost all people are fond of  travelling. It is very interesting to see  new places, another towns and  countries. People may travel either  for pleasure or on business.  There  are various methods of travelling.

Travelling by plane Travelling by train Travelling by ship Travelling by car Hiking and hitch- hiking Travelling by bicycle Travelling by bus

TRAVELLING BY PLANE   Advantages:   It is comfortable, fast, quicker than any other method. You can read, sleep ... during the flight  Disadvantages:  -  it is expensive -  it is strictly dependent on timetable – you have to travel at certain times -  sometimes the flight can be delayed or cancelled -  you have to buy the plane ticket in advance -  some people are afraid of heights and confined spaces

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN Advantages:  Speed, comfort and pleasure . From the comfortable seat you have a splendid view of the whole  country­side. If you are hungry, you can have a meal; If a journey is a long you can sleep.we can  relax – read and look out of the window, work, eat ­  we can spend time talking to other passengers on the train ­  you don’t have to drive Disadvantages: -  it is expensive /but usually cheaper than traveling by car -  you have to get to the station -  sometimes you have to use other transport to get to the station

TRAVELLING BY SHIP Travelling by ship is also very popular now. It is very pleasant to see the rise  and fall of the waves, to feel the fresh sea wind blowing in the face and hear the  cry of the seagulls.

TRAVELLING BY CAR Many people like to traveling by car. You can see many filings in a short time  ­  traveling by car is comfortable ­  you can listen to the radio while you drive ­  you can go anywhere anytime – you don’t have to use the public transport, you don’t have to buy a ticket  ­  you can stop at any time you need to have a break ­  the car has a boot  ­ it has a big space to carry your luggage and other things  Disadvantages: ­  a car is expensive to buy ­  petrol is expensive ­  you must have a driving licence ­  you must pay for parking ­  you can end up in a traffic jam ­  it is the most dangerous way of transport – you can have a car crash   ­  it pollutes the air which is not good for our nature

HIKING AND HITCH­HIKING A very popular method of travelling is hiking. It is travelling on foot. Walking  tours are very interesting. Hitch­hiking is a very popular method of travelling  among young people. But it is not so popular in our country as abroad.

TRAVELLING BY BICYCLE Traveling by bicycle it is healthy, stimulating, eco­ friendly, and allows the traveler to experience more  of the places that he/she travels through.

TRAVELLING BY BUS Advantages:  -  we can spend time talking to other passengers on the bus -  we can relax – read and look out of the window, work, eat ... -  buses stop more often than trains – you can get off at a bus stop which is closer to the place where you need to go -  you don’t have to drive Disadvantages: -  it is expensive /but usually cheaper than traveling by car/ -  you have to get to the bus stop -  sometimes stopping at too many bus stops can be a disadvantage   .
