Traditional Russian dishes

Fish soup The recipe was invented many centuries ago. Originally it was called meat broth. Only in the 17th century this dish has renamed a fish broth or fish soup. This dish traditionally consists of fresh fish, potato, onions.

Kvass This drink is famous for its traditional Russian taste. On hot summer days the drink can refresh everyone. It's made with bread or suhary, sugar and some water. To Slavs kvass is known more than thousand years. It is known that East Slavs owned recipes before formation of the Kiev Russia. The first mention of kvass is dated 989 year.

Scotland

If you are invited to tea to Scotland, you’ll probably be offered a good meal for tea which might include meat, and cheese, bread and butter, a cake…

England

In England you can receive a cup of tea – and that’s it!

But sometimes you’ll be offered some bisuites, fruit and cheese.

Americans can go to space, but they cannot give you a nice cup of tea. By the way it is pronounced “cuppotea”. You might be invited for a “cuppa”

Russia

In our country many people like to drink tea. Some ones prefer green tea with cakes, cheese or ham, other ones – black tea with milk or lemon, biscuits or sweets.
