В данной разработке урока используются элементы метода погружения (А. С. Плесневич), а также метода Г. А. Китайгородской (трехкратное повторение текста диктором, неформальная обстановка, заданные роли учащимся). Метод предполагает продолжительное время общения только на английском языке. Для снятия психологических преград учащиеся сидят там, где им удобно. На этапе отработки новой лексики учащиеся сидят в круге, чтобы лучше видеть оппонента. Допускается, что в учебной группе 7 человек. Предполагается, что конспект урока на тему «The Internet» используется в образовательной деятельности в рамках факультатива для 10 класса общеобразовательной школы для повышенного уровня. На уроках используются материалы УМК «Intermediate Listening Comprehension» Patricia A.Dunkel и Phyllis L.Lim. Цель урока: формирование навыков аудирования и говорения по теме«The Internet». Задачи урока: -          обучающая: совершенствование умения аудирования и говорения по теме, изучение и закрепление новой лексики; -          развивающая: развитие интереса у учащихся к общению на английском языке, развитие творческого потенциала учащихся; -          воспитательная: воспитание культуры общения на английском языке с помощью интересных заданий и мотивации учащихся в процессе работы в режиме диалога и полилога, воспитание толерантности к чужому мнению. Оборудование: раздаточный материал, компьютер, колонки, аудиоматериал УМК «Intermediate Listening Comprehension» Patricia A.Dunkel и Phyllis L.Lim. Тип урока: изучение новой темы. Вид урока: практический.

Ход занятия:

Организационный этап.

 Учитель: Good afternoon! What’s your mood? How are you? What was your holiday? (ответы учеников).

Этап объявлени ятемы урока.

Учитель: Millions of people use the Internet everyday to send and receive e-mail messages. To find information on the World Wide Web, or to download files, such as games, music files or movie clips. What is the Internet and how does it work? How do e-mail messages get from your computer to the computer of the person you send them to? How do Web pages travel to your computer? How do files you download reach your computer? Today we will try to examine it. But before it you should take your role on today. Act and speak according to your role.

Учитель раздает карточки с ролями:

1.                  John Smith, 21 years old, is an English student of the Cambridge University. He studies physics and is successful in it. He interests in the ceremony of tea drinking, golf and examination of space. He is well-mannered man, but has an ability of tactful expressing his opinion about everything. He has a lot of friends around the world. He has a pat — snake Betelgeuse.

2.                  Yuko Miyadzaky, 23 years old, works at the big Japanese company of new Internet technologies as a programmer. He is a professional and he likes his job. He is single. His hobbies are dancing and fishing. At the weekends he goes with his friends to the night club.

3.                  Roma Kadochnikov, 18 years old, is a Russian freshman of the Ural Federal University of the computer technology faculty. He knows a lot about computer technologies and has been working as a programmer for 2 years. He entered to the university because his mother insisted on it. He wants to work at the Google Company. He has a hobby of skateboarding. He has a pet — cat Rudolf.

4.                  Julia Richardson, 22 years old, an American student of the Harvard University. She studies linguistics. She likes to study foreign languages and wants to work at the university as a professor. She knows Japan, German languages. Her parents support her in everything. She has a boyfriend Harry. Her hobbies are cooking, swimming, playing the guitar in her band at the friend’s music studio. She composes rock music. She is hot-tempered.

 5.                  Regina Wilson, 20 years old, is an American student of surgery faculty. She wants to be the first-class surgeon. She studies hard. Her hobbies are belly dancing and gardening. She is a chatter-box and communicates with her friends a lot in the Internet. She likes watching thrillers and documentaries.

6.                  Daniel Porter, 24 years old, is an English man from the 19th century, who travelled by Time Machine. He got in 2015 but his Time Machine was broken during the last travel. He is single. He is a scientist from a rich family. He is cunning. He created his own Time Machine and travelled on it with his cat Begemot. Daniel is the calm person. He likes drinking coffee in the mornings.

7.                  Olivia Douglas, 19 years old, a student of the Dancing Academy. She will be a ballet dancer. She likes her study but she gets tired a lot after her classes. She likes surfing and cooking cakes, although, she never eats it. She has a younger brother Phillip. She is sophisticated and hot-tempered.

Учитель: Now read the sentences and using the context try to guess meanings of the italics words. Give the definition of these words and word combinations. -          The Internet consists of millions of computers, all linked together into a gigantic network. -          These computers are equipped with special communication software. -          An Internet Service Provider (ISP) is a company that provides Internet service for a monthly charge. -          Local ISPs connect to larger ISPs, which in turn connect to even larger ISPs. -          A hierarchy of networks is formed. -          The data, or information, in an e-mail message, a Web page, or a file is first broken down into tiny packets. -          The router then decides the best route to send the packet on its way to its destination. -          Imagine that you want to send a friend a book, but you can send it only as postcards. -          Many postal agents may look at the addresses on the postcards in order to decide the best route to send them off on to reach their destination.

Предтекстовый этап.

Учитель: Now you will listen to the audio file. In this talk, the speaker explains how the Internet works, how the information travels over the Internet. The speaker uses an analogy, or comparison, to help explain the process. Now, let’s listen to the talk about what the Internet is and how it works. Just relax and listen carefully.

(Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись № 9).

 Учитель: Let’s listen to the talk once more. This time the description of the Internet and how it works will be given in massage unites. Please repeat each of the sentences or phrases to yourself silently as you hear it spoken. Remember, do not repeat the units out loud.

(Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись № 10, в которой диктор читает текст медленно, с размеренным ритмом, на фоне записи играет спокойная музыка).

Учитель: Now you will listen to the other talk. This time take notes on what you hear.

(Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись № 11 и записывают важные моменты).

Этап контроля:

Учитель: Let’s play a role game. Seat in a circle, please. Now imagine that you are taking part in the international conference on which you are discussing problems of the Internet. And suddenly Daniel Porter comes to us from the 19th century using his Time Machine, which was broken during the travel. He shocks to see such technologies. He wants to know what is it and how it works. He asks different questions to you. You should answer his questions and explain to him one by one how the information in e-mail messages, Web pages, and downloaded files travel over the Internet and what computers and the Internet itself is. You can use your notes. Your task is to impress him by these technologies and persuade him to stay in your reality. Daniel, your task is yield to no persuasion. (Учащиеся по очереди объясняют Даниэлю, что такое интернет, компьютер, электронная почта, сайты и другое). Учитель: Now you are continuing the international conference with Daniel. Let’s discuss why you agree or disagree with the sentences, I will tell you. If you agree with the sentence — seat at the side «Yes», if you are not agree with the sentence — seat at the side «No», if you are can’t determine your answer — seat at the side «Don’t know». Ok. Everybody chooses his side. Now explain us why you have chosen these answers. The sentences: 1.                  The Internet is the best place to find information on almost everything. 2.                  Information on the Internet is usually quite accurate. 3.                  The government needs to control the kind of information that can be on the Internet. 4.                  Every student should have a laptop computer and an Internet connection.

So, Daniel, what did you decide? Will you stay in our reality or come back to your time? Every of you did a great work today. Good job! I like your game. Thank you for the lesson. Good bye!
