( I)Warm-up activity After the greeting, looking through the pictures on the blackboard learners guess the name of the theme of the lesson. 1) Teacher asks questions ( Strategy ’Review questions’): Do you like animals? Who has got animals? What animals have you got? What wild animals do you know? What domestic animals do you know? Learners answer. 2) Game. ( Strategy ’Pass the ball’) Learners make a circle, name the animal and pass the ball in turns. |

Start-up activity. 1) Teacher divides the class into 3 groups with the help of postcard and discuss the rule of work in groups. 2) Learners match the texts with the pictures that are on the walls and read them correctly. Shark – a large fish with row of sharp teeth that lives in both cold and warm oceans. Sharks eat fish or small water animals and are able to detect smells and sounds at great distances. Zebra – a striped African mammal that is part of the horse family. Zebras live in herds on open plains and eat grass and shrubs. Spider – a small animal with eight legs. Spiders spin nets of thin, sticky threads called webs, which they use to trap insects for food. They kill their prey with poison. 3) Strategy “Yes/ No answers”- (Guess who I am) Teacher shows the card with animal to one learner. Groups ask questions to him : Are you a wild (domestic) animal? Are you grey (black, white…) Can you jump (swim, fly)? Do you eat fruit? Have you got a tail? …. Learner has to answer Yes or No. |
