The Party ‘The Beatles Forever’
Leaders 14 Hello to everybody!
Leaders14 We are happy to see you here!
Leader 1 We have gathered together because we love the
Beatles.
Leader 2 Yes, our fathers and fathers grew up with their
songs.
Leader 3 I hope our love of this group will help us to
understand each other better.
Leader4 Today we are going to have a party
Leaders14 ‘The Beatles forever’.
Leader1 Our students will perform their favourite songs
by the Beatles.
Leader 2 The fact isthat singing the ‘Beatles’ is a hobby
for our students and it is already a tradition at parties.
Leader3 These songs are beautiful, so it will be useful and
interesting for you to listen to them, to sing the songs with
us.
Leader 4 Dear guests! Here you can see photos, postcards,
pictures, posters, devoted to the ‘Beatles’. So you see we
are fond of singing and drawings as well. We also collect
books about the ‘Beatles’.
Leader 1 For us the ‘Beatles’ are forever! The ‘Beatles’
unite the people of different generations and different
ages, because their music is wonderful, kind and exciting.
Leader 2 This group was formed at the end of the 50s.
John, Paul, George and Ringo were amazing and talented
boys who made a unique contribution to music and it
made a revolution in pop history. Leader 3 The boys composed songs for the youth. Their
songs seemed more musical and more exciting than
others.
Leader 4 Open your hearts to the song.
Leaders14 ‘And I love Her’.
Leader3 Now let’s have a short tour, back to the start of
the group. ( photos of ‘The Beatles’)
Leader 4 Originating in Liverpool, the Beatles evolved
from an amateur group. The Quarry Men, formed by
Lennon in 1956 and named after his school, Quarry Bank
High.
Leader 1 Mc. Cartney joined the Quarry Men in July
1957,Harrison in March 1958. In August 1960, Lennon,
Mc. Cartney and Harrison together with Stuart Sutcliffe,
bass guitar, and Pete Best, drums become the Beatles.
Leader 2 Between then and November 1962 the group
played in and around Liverpool at various clubs.
Leader 3 Soon, Stuart Sutcliffe, a talented painter, left the
group in 1961,began replaced by Mc.Cartney, who until
then had played bass guitar and piano.
Leader 4 In November 1961 a Liverpool shop owner,
Brian Epstein, heard the Beatles at the local ‘beat’ club.
Becoming their manager, he set about securing the group
a recording contract, at which he succeeded in June 1962
with Parlophone, a subsidiary of the EMI label run.
Leader 1 The Beatles performing talent grew up very fast.
Their second release ’Please, Please Me’, rose to number
one in the British singles chart.
Leader 2 The group’s tour of Britain in 1963 created a
great excitement (‘Beatlmania’) which was reproduces in the USA, when on February 1964, they appeared on
national television singing their fifth single ‘I want to
hold your hand’ to the audience of 70 million.
Leader 1 A song ‘I want to hold your hand’.
Leader 4 The Beatles dominated at the American singles
charts for months in 1964 with their singles and their
sixth
single was ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’.
Leader 3 A song ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’.
Leader 1 After Epstein’s death in 1967, the group
gradually lost direction. Conflicts between its members
changed the atmosphere in their studio.
Leader 2 Despite this, they carried on recording around 80
more tracks. Harrison was writer of worthy songs, one of
which ’Something’, another is ‘Yesterday’. This song
became the national pride of the English people.
Leader 1 A song ‘Yesterday’.
Leader 3 Soon the group started to break because their
members grew up others got married. Their last song
was ‘Abbey Road’.
Leader 4 Finally, the group split up, each of them from
then on continuing as a soloist. However, the ex Beatles
succeeded a little in comparison with what they did
together during the 60s.
Leader 3 Two ‘reunion’ records made in 19941995 by
McCartney, Harrison and Starr failed. But there wasn’t
the leader of the group, John Lennon. He was killed in
front of his house in New York in 1980. The whole world
was shattered by the tragic death.
Leader 2 But his songs are alive and now let’s listen to his voice. The song is ‘Michelle’.
Leader 1 The Beatles showed professionalism and made
impressive figures on the stage. They looked nicer than
anyone else. They created a new ‘clean’ image with short
hair, white shirts and elegant suits. You can see their wax
figures in Madam Tussaude’s museum.
Leader 2 A splendid song When I’m 64’ is made in the
style of marriage advertisement, when the young couple
ask questions to each other. It’s devoted to Paul
McCartney’s parents.
Leader1 A song ‘When I’m 64’.
Leader 3 As you know the birthplace of ‘the four’ is
Liverpool. (Liverpool is on the screen.)
Leader 4 John Lennon’s song ‘In my life’ is about his
youth in Liverpool and it sounds so nostalgically. At the
same time the Beatles were humorous. A song ‘Obladi
Oblada’ will prove it.
Leader 3 A song ‘Obladi Obla –da’
Leader 1 The song ‘Yellow Submarine’ is very popular
thanks to the cartoon film ‘Yellow Submarine’ in which
the Beatles fight against the pointed monsters with the
help of their music’ love and justice.
Leader 2 A song ‘Yellow Submarine’.
Leader 3 The group broke up many years ago. But their
songs will live forever. The Beatles were sure of that
when they wrote one of their last song ‘Let it be’.
Leader 4 There is a fine English proverb: ‘After rain
comes fair weather’.
Leader 1 We wish you to ‘believe in a light that shines
and in the sound of music’. Leader 2 These words of wisdom will help us’.
Leaders14 A song Let it be’. Let’s sing it altogether.
Leaders 14 Dear friends! Our party is over. We think
you enjoyed these beautiful songs and will keep them in
your memory forever. Thanks to everybody. Special
thanks to our teachers: Mullatagirova Elza Radikovna,
Zhaferov Ramil Shamilevitch, Mironova Irina
Vladimirovna, Abdrakhmanova Faniya Ibragimovna.
Bye.
