Урок 68. Письма в молодежный журнал

Цели: формирование лексических навыков по теме «Кон­фликт»; развитие разных стратегий чтения; тренировка и контроль диалогической речи по теме «Решение конфликта».

Ход урока

I.  Организационный момент

-      We shall read and discuss the letters to a teenage magazine and try to find a solution to the conflicts.

II.  Речевая разминка

-      Let's remember the most common causes of family conflicts. Listen to my statements and agree or disagree with me.

1.  Parents want their children to obey them. (I agree with you. Parents want their children to obey them.)

2.  Children don't depend on their parents. (I disagree with you. Children depend on their parents.)

3.  Children never suffer unfair punishment. (I disagree with you. Sometimes children suffer unfair punishment.)

5.  You have too many responsibilities at home. (I disagree with you. 1 don't have too many responsibilities at home.)

7.  One of the most common causes of conflicts is money problems. (I agree with you. I think that one of the most common causes of conflicts is money problems.)

8.  If the members of a family shout at each other, it can cause a conflict. (I agree with you. If the members of a family shout at each other, it can cause a conflict.) Etc.

III.  Формирование лексических навыков по теме «Решение конфликта»

-      And now it's time to practise today's vocabulary. Open your textbooks, please. Will you read the task of exercise 79, page 126? There you can see some words to read and to match with their definitions. Have you finished your work? Who is ready to start reading? Make up the word combinations using these words.

упр. 79, стр. 126 из учебника. Составить словосочетания с данными словами Примерные словосочетания:

То criticise children, to get on well, to relax at home, to support your friend, to provide for children, contrary opinions, a great discovery, confident voice, to provide a child with money, confident manner, to relax with friends, etc.

Также на данном этапе урока ученики выполняют упр. 80, стр. 126 из учебника.

IV. Контроль навыков диалогической речи. Проверка домашнего задания

-      It's time to check up your homework. It is interesting to listen to your dialogues and choose the most interesting one.

Примерный диалог:

-      You look unhappy. What has happened?

-      My parents promised to give me a mobile phone for my birthday, but they didn't do it.

-      Have you found out why they didn't buy a mobile phone?

-      Yes, of course. They told me that our family couldn't afford it because of my brother's illness. They had to use all of our money for the medicine. But I am sure it's unfair.

-      But you should think about your brother. He will have problems with his health if he doesn't get over his illness. Besides, a mobil phone is something you could do without for some time.

-      May be you are right.

VI.  Развитие навыков чтения с пониманием основного содержания

-  I'd like you to open your textbooks, page 127, exercise 81. Will you read the task, please? You will read the letters to a teenagmagazine. You will have 3 minutes to match the letters and the ideas. Is everything clear? Start then.

-  упр. 81, стр. 127 из учебника. Задание для учащихся - соотнести письма и высказывания, кото­рые приведены перед текстом. Ученики читают письма из данного упражнения про себя в течение 3 минут, а затем высказывают свое мнение о том, какие утверждения выражают идею того или иного текста. Затем ученики читают тексты вслух и при необходимости переводят их.

VII.  Формирование навыков изучающего чтения

-      The next task for you is exercise 82, page 127 in your textbooks. You will look through the letters and complete the sentences from this exercise. Who will complete the first sentence? Who can read the second one?

упр. 82, стр. 127 из учебника. Ученики по очереди заканчивают по одному предложению, используя информацию из прочитанного текста. Все учащиеся принимают участие в данной работе. Также на данном этапе урока учениками в устной форме выполняется упр. 83,стр. 128 из учебника.

VIII. Совершенствование навыков диалогической речи по теме «Решение конфликта»

-      Let's divide into pairs. You will role-play the short dialogues between you and Frank or Diana. Your time is up. Who is ready to act out the dialogue?

Учащиеся разбиваются на пары и получают задание из упр. 84, стр. 128 из учебника. Время выполнения задания - 5-6 минут. Задание для учащихся - составить и разыграть диалог между учеником и Дианой или Франком

IX.  Подведение итогов урока

Рабочая тетрадь: упр. 9, стр. 54.
