Урок 76. Поездка по Америке

Цели: совершенствование навыков аудирования и чтения; конт­роль навыков монологической речи (презентация проекта по теме «Военные конфликты XX века»); введение страноведческой ин­формации по теме «Америка»; активизация лексических навыков по теме «Военные конфликты».

Ход урока

II.  Речевая разминка

-      Hello, Kate. Nice to see you. How are you? (I am fine, thank you. How are you?)

-      I am fine too. And what about you, Alex? How are you? (I am fine, thank you.)

-      I am glad to hear that. The weather is nice today, isn't it? (Oh, yes. I agree with you. It is rather warm.)

-      Nick, I'd like to ask you a question. (You are welcome. What would you like to ask me about?)

-      What sources of information do you know? (The sources of information are the Internet, books and magazines, television, video, films and others.)

-      What source of information do you prefer and why? (I prefer books and magazines because I like reading. I often read newspapers.)

-      And what about you, Mike? (I like watching TV.)

-      What programmes do you usually watch, Mike? (I usually watch football matches and the news.)

-      Why do you watch the news? (I want to know the new facts about sports and cultural events.)

-      What else do people find out watching the news? (The news about different kinds of disasters and local wars or conflicts is often shown on television.)

-      Did you watch TV yesterday? (Yes, I did. I watched the programme about the soldiers and officers who took part in World War II.)

-      What information was new and interesting for you? What other wars of the 20th century can you name? Etc.

Ученики читают словосочетания из упр. 122 (а), стр. 139 и выполняют задание данного упражнения.

III. Проверка домашнего задания. Тренировка навыков монологической речи

-      Let's listen to your stories about the war conflicts of the 20th century and the countries that suffered from wars. One pupil will go to the blackboard and we shall listen to him carefully. Get ready to ask the questions about the country.

IV.  Активизация лексических навыков по теме «Военные конфликты»

-      It's time to practise today's vocabulary. Let's read some English words from exercise 10, page 59 in your Workbooks. Can you read and translate these words? Match the words from the two columns.

упр. 10, стр. 59 из рабочей тетради. Ученикам предлагается прочитать данные сло­ва хором и индивидуально. Затем ученики соотносят слова из раз­ных столбиков и составляют словосочетания.

VI.  Тренировка навыков чтения и вопросно-ответной работы по тексту

-      Let's move on to the reading of the story from exercise 11, page 60 in your Workbooks. We shall read the information about the separatist movement in Spain and then answer some questions. Follow in your Workbooks while Helen is reading. Can you answer the question after the text?

текст из упр. 11, стр. 60 из рабочей тетради и ответить на вопросы данного упраж­нения. Ученики читают рассказ вслух, а затем ответы учащихся заслушиваются всем классом.

VII.  Совершенствование навыков аудирования и чтения

-      It's time to watch the video. Open your textbooks, page 88, exercise 78. Let's read the questions from this exercise. You'll watch the video and answer the questions. Is everybody ready to start? Who is ready to answer the first (second, third) question? Let's watch the video again and do the task from exercise 79, page 88. Who can say what an "air pass" is? Are there any other versions to be heard?
