Урок 84. Выбор профессии

Цели: развитие навыков аудирования; формирование навыков говорения по теме «Планы на будущее. Выбор профессии»; совер­шенствование навыков чтения.

-                    Hello, Anton. Nice to see you. How are you? (/ am fine, thank you. How are you?)

-                    I am fine too. And what about you, Vova? How are you? (/ am fine, thank you.)

-                    I am glad to hear that. The weather is pleasant today, isn't it? {Oh, yes. I agree with you. It is rather warm.)

-                    Kate, I'd like to ask you a question. {You are welcome. What would you like to ask me about?)

-                    Do you like animals, Kate? (Yes, I do.)

-                    What is your mother? {She is a doctor. She works in the hospital.)

-                    Do you want to be a doctor? {Yes, I do. I want to be a doctor.)

-                    Why are you going to be a doctor? (/ think it is a noble profession. I like to help people.)

-                    Nick, do you like to look after people? {Yes, I do. I am ready to help other people.)

-                    Nina, are you musical? Why do you think so? Etc.

-                    Well done. Thank you very much.

III.  Развитие навыков монологической речи по теме «Выбор профессии»

-                    So, you can see that in two months all the pupils in our class will decide what to do after the ninth form. Exercise 7, page 155 will help you tell us about your plans for future.

упр. 7, стр. 155 для составления небольшого монологиче­ского высказывания по теме «Выбор профессии».

Примерное высказывание:

I'd like to stay on at my school after the ninth form. I think it is important to study with your friends. As for me, it is important to have good and clever teachers. I like the subjects I study. As for me, 1 like humanities: History, Literature, Russian and English. I want to be a journalist. On the one hand, it's important to choose a well-paid job. On the other hand, I can't agree that a person can be satisfied with the job he or she doesn't like. This job can be tiring and dangerous, but I am sure I have made the right choice.

IV. Формирование навыков устной речи по теме «Планы на будущее»

- There are different things to do after school. Let's find out what you and your friends would like to do in the future. The word combinations in exercise 8, page 156 will help you to ask the questions to your friends. Fill in the table and ask the questions to all of your classmates.

Задание - выяснить будущие профессии одноклассников и причины, по которым ученики выбирают ту или иную профессию. Начертить таблицу с именами одноклассников для заполнения. Ученики делятся на 2 группы. Во время вопросно-ответной работы дети могут свободно передви­гаться по классу. Учащиеся могут использовать в вопросах и от­ветах информацию из учебника со стр. 156. Один ученик может назвать до 3 причин в пользу своей будущей профессии. Во время групповой работы можно включить спокойную музыку.

Примерные вопросы:

1.                 Who wants to travel and see the world in the future?

2.                  How many pupils would like to find a job and help their parents after school?

3.                 Who wants to go to a vocational school in the future?

4.                 Are there any pupils who think that they will do nothing in the future?

5.                 Who will go to the tenth form and then to university? Etc.

VI.  Развитие навыков аудирования

-                      Will you read the task of exercise 9, page 156 from your textbooks? We shall listen to the dialogue and answer the question from this exercise. Who wants to read and translate the question? Listen carefully. Are you ready to start?

чтение задания упр. 9, стр. 156 из учебника и прослушивание диалога из данного упражнения. Задание для учащихся: прослушать диалог и ответить на вопрос из задания.

VII.  Совершенствование навыков чтения на материале диалога

-                  The next task for you is reading the dialogue in your textbooks, page 156, exercise 10. You'll read it and write down all the opportunities that Sue gives to Carol. Read the dialogue to yourself, please. Consult the Linguistic and Cultural Guide on page 198. Who is ready with the list of opportunities?

упр. 10, стр. 156 из учебника. Ученики читают диалог из данного упражнения и выписывают варианты выбора занятия после окончания школы, которые упоминаются в диалоге. Время для чтения диалога про себя - 4-5 минут.
