Урок-путешествие не только способствует развитию коммуникативных умений по теме "Путешествие", но и помогает разнообразить формы работы на уроке, да и сорму самого урока. Это помогает поддерживать мотивацию к изучению английского языка.

Урок-путешествие

Цели:

 Образовательные:

1.Совершенствовать лексические навыки по теме «Путешествие»;

2. Совершенствовать навыки чтения с извлечением искомой информации.

 Развивающие:

1. Развитие иноязычной языковой компетенции (способность учащихся использовать полученную информацию в различных ситуациях);

2. Развитие кругозора учащихся в области страноведения по теме «Англоязычные страны»;

 Воспитательные:

1. Способствовать развитию интереса к культуре англо-говорящих стран;

2. Воспитывать уважительное отношение к стране изучаемого языка.

Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, презентация в Power Point.

Возраст учащихся: 12 лет (6 класс)

 

Ход урока

I.Организационный момент.

Teacher: Hello, my boys and girls. Turn to your neighbours, look at each other, touch your hands and smile.

I have a surprise for you. We won`t have a lesson today, we`ll travel. I hope our trip will be funny, because we have a lot of things to do. (слайд 1)

II. Постановка целей урока.

1. T: The theme of our lesson is (слайд 2)

1.       to revise the active vocabulary.

2.       to speak about travelling to different countries

3.       to think, to read, to talk.

2. T: But before our traveling let`s answer the questions. (слайд 3)

Traveling by train is boring.

P1: That`s wrong! Travelling by train is fun.

Travelling by plane is expensive.

P2: That`s right. Travelling by plane is expensive.

Travelling on foot is comfortable.

P3: That`s wrong. It isn`t comfortable.

Travelling by ship is dangerous.

P4: That`s right. But it is very exciting.

V. Совершенствование навыков диалогической речи.

6. T: So we are ready to start our Round-the-World Tour. We`ll be visiting five English-speaking countries. I wish you good luck! (слайд 6)

7. T: Listen to people talking and guess where they are.

On a plane

: Attention please, last call, departure Pan Am flight No 327, exit C. :Listen, it's about our flight! Let's hurry up! :OK. Now we are on a plane. Here are our seats.

:Before take-off we kindly ask you to read the emergency instructions that you will find in the seat pockets in front of you.

;l don't like it. Why are they speaking about emergency? : Don't worry. It's just a rule to warn passengers.

:We are ready for take-off. Please bring your seats into an upright position, fasten your seat-belts. In a few moments the captain will speak to you.

:Could you help me, I can't fasten my seat-belt.

:Stop talking. The captain is speaking.

:Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. I'd like to welcome you aboard our Boeing 747. We have now reached our cruising altitude of 30,000 feet. Our relative speed is 440 mph. I wish you all a very pleasant flight. Thank you.

:What do you think, how long we are going to fly?

: We have now started our descent. Please fasten your seat- belts and bring your seats to an upright position. :The flight is finished. Our pilot is great, isn't he?

: We have now landed. Please, remain seated until the aircraft has come to a complete stop.

VI. Совершенствование навыков монологической речи.

8. T: Our first stop is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. (слайд 7,8)

P1: I`m from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. My country is an island state. It`s one of the world`s smallest countries. The capital of the UK is London. The official language is English.

T: We continue our travelling. It is Canada. (слайд8,9)

P2: I`m from Canada, the second largest country in the world. The capital of Canada is Ottawa. There are two official languages in Canada, English and French.

T: The USA is the next country. (слайд 10,11)

P3: I`m from the USA. The capital of the USA is Washington. The USA has the third largest population in the world. The official language is English.

T: Are you tired? Good. We are in Australia. ( слайд 12, 13)

P4: My country is the biggest island and the smallest continent in the world. The capital of Australia is Canberra. The official language is English.

T: Our travelling is going to finish. The last country is New Zealand. ( 14, 25)

P5: I`m from a small and quiet country in the Pacific Ocean. It`s New Zealand. The capital of the country is Wellington. Our official languages are English and Maori.

9. T.: Today I will introduce one more English - speaking country. You should ask me and guess what country it is. You can ask only YES or NO questions.

1.       Is it in (Europe, Asia, North America, and South America)?

2.       Is it big (small)?

3.       Is the capital (Ottawa, London, Wellington, Eire….)?

4.       Is it famous by its people (nature, museums, films….)? etc.

It is India. You are great.

VII. Совершенствование навыков чтения.

India is one of the biggest countries in Asia. It is washed by the Indian Ocean. More than 15 official languages are spoken in India. There are thousand of dialects. English is the main language and the only solution to their communication problems.

India consists of states and Union Territories. They are 30. The flag is green, white, and red.

The capital of India is Delhi. It consists of two parts: Old Delhi and New Delhi. New Delhi is the official capital of India. 12 million people live in Delhi. Here you can find a lot of beautiful palaces, unique museums, and galleries.

Delhi is famous for its palaces. One of them is Kutb-Minar (the Tower of Victory). It was built in the12th century. It has five floors; its high is 72 m. It is red-yellow.

Tadzh Mohall is in Agra, on the bank of the river Jammu. It is a mausoleum. It was built in 17th century (1631-1653). It is called the monument of love.

India is the country of National parks. There are 83 National Parks. They are organized to keep the wild nature. Of course, India is famous for its elephants and white tigers.

Also India is famous for its dances and songs. There are many types of dance in India, from those which are deeply religious in content to those which are danced on more trivial happy occasions. Classical dances of India are usually always spiritual in content, although this is often true also of Folk dances. The classical dances are Kathakali and Mohini Attam from Kerala.

VIII. Беседа по прочитанному:

Where is India situated? India is situated in Asia.

How many official languages are there? There are more than 15 official languages in India.

Is English or Hindi the main language in India? English is the main language

What is India famous for? India is famous for its palaces, dances and songs.

IX. Рефлексия.
