AT THE ZOO

Steve and Helen live in Great Britain. They are pupils and go to school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

It is Wednesday today. But the children don’t go to school. They have holidays. So the children get up at nine o’clock. They make their beds. Then they do morning exercises, wash their faces and brush teeth. After that they have breakfast. Steve drinks coffee and eats sandwiches. Helen drinks tea with milk and eats porridge.

At eleven o’clock the children go to the zoo with their granny. They can see red foxes and white bears, brown monkeys and grey elephants, yellow lions and green crocodiles; purple, pink and blue parrots.

Helen likes monkeys. They are funny. They can run, jump and climb trees.

Steve likes white bears. They are very big. They can swim very well.

The children’s granny likes the zoo, too. She likes to watch her grandchildren.

My name’s Alex. I am from Minsk. It’s a nice city in Belarus. I’m 12 years old. I go to school five days a week. I study many interesting subjects at school: Russian, Belarusian, Maths, English, PE, Technology, Music and Art. I like English and Maths. But I like Maths more than English because English is too hard sometimes! But I can’t sing very well and so I don’t like Music.

After the lessons I have lunch in the school canteen. Then I come home at two o’clock in the afternoon and do my homework. In the evening I watch TV, play computer games or read books. I prefer reading funny stories or fantasy but adventure books are my favourite.
