Задачи:  1. Активизировать у учащихся творческие способности при подготовке и проведении мероприятия. 2. Познакомить учащихся с историей и традициями празднования Дня  святого Патрика в Ирландии и других странах. Оборудование: 1. 2. 3. Оформление стен и классной доски (листья клевера, радуга). Презентация к мероприятию. Компьютер, мультимедиапроектор, раздаточный материал к  конкурсам (горшочки для золота, «золотые» монетки, фломастеры. 4. призы. Главный приз для победителя викторины, утешительные сладкие  План мероприятия: 1. 2. 3. Приветствие. Рассказ об Ирландии под видео о стране и ирландскую музыку. Введение в тему Дня святого Патрика: история Дня святого  Патрика.  4. 5. Рассказ о символах Дня святого Патрика.  Рассказ о праздновании Дня свято Патрика в разных странах на  примере Ирландии, США, Японии, Германии. 6. Игра «Настоящий Лепрекон». Выполнение заданий с получением  «золотых» монет: Выбрать имя; ответить на вопросы викторины; рассказать,  почему счастлив каждый участник. 7. Исполнение песни о Дне святого Патрика. Ход мероприятия. 1. Введение в тему Дня святого Патрика: история Дня святого Патрика.  Teacher: Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish­at­heart across the globe  observe St. Patrick’s Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of  Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades,  dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green.  The Irish People wear red hair and buy green caps at the shops. Some of them take a  green shamrock with themselves and national flags. It is always fun. Of course,  festivals of Folk music and songs are very popular everywhere. (Демонстрация мультфильма о святом Патрике). The person who was to  become St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was born in Wales about. When he  was 16, he was sold into slavery to Ireland where he was a shepherd for 6 years.  While in captivity he studied and turned to religion. He escaped slavery and later  returned to Ireland as a missionary, determined to convert Ireland to Christianity. He  used the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity. Рассказ о символах Дня святого Патрика.  Teacher: There are some symbols of the St. Patrick’s Day.  One of the traditional symbols of Saint Patrick's Day is the Shamrock. "Shamrock" is the common name for several different kinds of three­leafed clovers  native to Ireland. The shamrock was chosen Ireland's national emblem because of the legend that St.  Patrick had used it to illustrate the doctrine of the Trinity. The Trinity is the idea that  God is really three­in­one: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. The Irish have considered shamrocks as good­luck symbols since earliest times, and  today people of many other nationalities also believe they bring good luck. A leprechaun is an Irish fairy who looks like a small, old man about 2 feet tall. He is  often dressed like a shoemaker, with a crooked hat and a leather apron. According to legend, leprechauns are aloof and unfriendly. They live alone, and pass  the time making shoes. They also have a hidden pot of gold! (Green) Believe it or not, the color of St. Patrick was not actually green, but blue! In the 19th  century, however, green became used as a symbol for Ireland. In Ireland, there is  plentiful rain and mist, so the 'Emerald Isle' really is green all year­round. The  beautiful green landscape was probably the inspiration for the national color. Wearing the color green is considered an act of paying tribute to Ireland. It is said  that it also brings good luck, especially when worn on St. Patrick's Day. (The Harp) The harp is an ancient musical instrument used in Ireland for centuries. It is also a  symbol of Ireland. Harpists, who were often blind, occupied an honored place in Irish society.  Although it is not as recognizable as the shamrock, the harp is a widely used symbol.  It appears on Irish coins, the presidential flag, state seals, uniforms, and official  documents. (The Blarney Stone) The word "Blarney" has come to mean nonsense or smooth flattering talk in almost  any language. The Blarney Stone is a stone set in the wall of the Blarney Castle tower in the Irish village of Blarney. The stone is believed to be half of the Stone of Scone which originally belonged to  Scotland. Scottish Kings were crowned over the stone, because it was believed to  have special powers 5. Teacher: St. Patrick’s Day is one of the most popular annual festivals in the world.  While the biggest celebrations happen in Dublin, there are plenty of other St.  Patrick’s Day parties to check out around the globe. Here, we take a look at some of  the destinations ‘going green’ this St. Paddy’s Day. Pupil 1. (Ireland). Saint Patrick's feast day, as a kind of national day, was already  being celebrated by the Irish in Europe in the ninth and tenth centuries. In 1903, St  Patrick's Day became an official public holiday in Ireland. The first St Patrick's Day  parade in Ireland was held in Waterford in 1903.  Pupil 2. (USA). This holiday in the United States has come to represent the Irish  culture and the great contributions of its people to the United States. But Schools,  businesses and organizations are open as usual. There may be some local disruption  to traffic due to St Patrick's Day parades. Pupil 3. (Australia). Many Australians come together on St Patrick’s Day to  celebrate Irish culture and remember St Patrick’s life and achievements. Some  businesses and organizations hold St Patrick’s Day breakfasts and lunches where  lucky door prizes are given and Irish food and drinks are served. Pupil 4. (England). St Patrick's Day is not a public holiday in England. Schools,  stores, businesses and other organizations are open as usual. A whole week of  celebrations is organized around St Patrick's Day in London. These include a parade  and a festival held close to. Pupil 5. (Germany). There are fewer celebrations in Germany than you see in the  States. The two largest parades are in Munich and Berlin. In addition to the official  festivities, there are special events and concerts in German. Pupil 6. (Japan). Have you ever wondered if Japan celebrates St. Patrick’s Day?  Well, they do! The I Love Ireland Festival is one of the biggest events in Japan  during St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a culmination of live music, bagpipe performances,  traditional Irish dancing, parades, and more. 6.
