Внеурочное мероприятие по английскому языку  «Halloween» Для учащихся 5­8 классов Составитель:  Морозова В.А. 2016 – 2017 учебный год. д. Калининская Цели: Познакомиться со страноведческой информацией по празднованию Хэллоуина в  англоязычных странах, узнать традиции и обычаи этого праздника. Задачи: 1. Придумать и смастерить костюмы мифологических и сказочных персонажей стран, говорящих на английском языке; 2. Придумать, приготовить и оформить «страшное» блюдо; 3. Подготовить выступление класса на мероприятии; 4. Познакомиться с историей праздника, основными традициями, символикой; 5. Развивать речевые умения учащихся; 6. Развивать творческий потенциал учащихся. Ход мероприятия: 1.Организационный момент: Good evening, ghosts, witches, demos, vampires and other scared creatures! Today we have  met here to celebrate one of the most ancient holidays – Halloween. This holiday is called as  Eve of all Gods. As they say at this night different evil creatures can come to our world and  also souls of the dead. That’s why alive people must wear scared costumes and frighten other  people, because it can make them unnoticed for evil powers. So, we also era going to have fun today. And our jury will judge you. (Introducing of the jury) 2.Основной этап: I see, all of you have put on costumes, so evil creatures can’t know you as alive people. Let’s  play a traditional Halloween game. It is called “Bobbing for apples”. You must get an apple  from water without hands only with your mouth and teeth. Now we need 2 teams of 6  members. The team who will win gets sweets. Competition “Bobbing for apples”.      You are very nimble! You get sweets.  Did you know, that there is a custom during Halloween to go to the houses and ask for  sweets? The 5th form will show us this custom which is called “Trick or treat?” .  The 5    th   form’s performance Let’s play! You know that ghosts live in old castles. You must put ghosts in the castles. Split  into 2 teams and with sheets of papers make your ghosts moving to your castles. The team  whose all ghosts will be faster in their castle, will win. Competition “Ghosts’ Hunters” You were very brave! You get sweets.  Now who can show how skeletons walk? The best skeleton gets prize!  Competition “Skeleton’s walk” (It gets dark.) Students from the 8    th   form perform with skeleton dance. (The light is switched on) Are you frightened after such performance? And let’s play again.  All of you know the fairy­tail about Winnie­the­Pooh. And you, of course, remember about  the Donkey who lost his tail. Let’s help the Donkey! Put his tail on the place again. But you  must do it blindfolded (с завязанными глазами).  Competition “Put the Donkey’s tail” You were nimble, and now the Donkey has his tail again! You get sweets, of course! One more tradition for Halloween is telling scary stories and fairy­tails. The 7th form will  show us such story. 7  th   form performs fairy­tail “The Red Hood”  The traditional symbol for Halloween is a pumpkin. People make lanterns from pumpkins,  which are called Jack­o­Lantern and put them into their houses. People believe that evil  creatures are afraid of such lanterns. Let’s learn what pumpkins do in Halloween’s night. The  6th form will show it to us. The performance of the 6    th   form All of you were very talented. The jury will make conclusion of your performances. And in  that time we will play. (Жюри подводит итоги) Let’s split into 2 teams: human and vampires. During the day vampires are sleeping and  people are doing different things. But during the night people are sleeping and can’t move.  Vampires are hunting. Who from people moves, vampires will catch him and make a vampire  too! Win the team who will get more members. Competition “Day and night” Now it’s time to taste your scary dishes! Checking homework  ­“The scariest dish”  Your home task was to cook a spooky dish (The jury tastes dishes of different grades’  schoolchildren) (Жюри оценивает блюда) ­“The best costum” And now our jury will choose the most frightened boy and girl, who will be the King and the  Queen tonight. (Жюри выбирает лучшие костюмы) 3.Рефлексия: Who likes tonight party may put a Jack­o­Lantern on that old tree. Who don’t cares may put a ghost. Who doesn’t like the party may put a bat.
