Activity 1. Pre-reading Present new words Have Ss read the titles of the two texts: Shakespeare's Birthday and Festival of Nomadic Civilisation.
Ask: What do you think these texts are about? Elicit Ss guesses
Activity 2. Reading Divide Ss in two groups 1. scanning Assign each group a text to read and find When, where, what people do. Instruct Ss to fill in the table ex.3 p. 37 (only assigned text) Ask a volunteer from each group to fill in the table on the board
