The tale of the verbs and the letter S Present Simple Singular
Hello, my little friends! I am the ABC-tree. I live in the Grammar Land. I have many friends. They are words and letters. Today I want to tell you the story of one letter and many verbs.
Once upon a time there lived many verbs in the Grammar land. They were very friendly and did everything together. Look and say what they like to do?
Can you read what the verbs say now? We like to do sports. We want to be healthy.
The verbs also liked camping. One day they went to the forest.
Suddenly the verbs saw a very strange creature that looked like a snake. It was bitterly crying. “Why are you crying, little snake?” they asked . “I am not a snake. I am the letter S. And I am crying because I have no friends. Everyone is afraid of me because they take me for an evil snake.”
“Do you want us to be your friends?” asked the verbs. “Yes, I do. But I am shy and not used to a big company. Can I make friends with you one by one?” said the letter S. “Sure!” answered the verbs.
And so it happened since then. When the verb was lonely and had nobody to play with, the kind letter S joined him or her in the games. Let`s see who has become the friend of the letter S.
He plays football .
She reads a book .
He fishes .
He rides a bike.
She writes an email. The dog wants to sleep.
She sleeps. Sh-sh- sh!
Our story has come to the end. The letter S has found many new friends. And we will remember the rule: When you say He, She or It, Add the letter S To a verb indeed.
