Holiday activities. (Что ты делал на каникулах?) Revision and consolidation of knowledge about words from the topic “Summer holidays” and Present Tenses. 1. Teach pupils to use the new words in their speech. 2. Teach pupils to be attentive. 3. Develop children dialogue speech.

The procedure of the lesson: T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today?How are you today? What day is it today? What’s the weather like today? How did you spend your holiday? Where have you been?
Look at the board! You can see there a cluster with the central word “summer”. What words, in your opinion, relate to this phrase? F.E. swimming, heat, ice-cream, warm, beach, etc. The theme of our lesson is “Holiday activities”. Today we are going to talk about your holidays, holiday activities and review the tenses of the verb. Ex.1, p. 10. Make questions with you from the sentences. Example: SA: When were you born? SB: I was born in Almaty in 1991. Ex. 3, p. 10. Holidays are always great. During holidays young people have free time to do what they want and just relax. Draw the diagram in your notebook. And write as many activities as possible you associate with summer holidays. Eg.: Skateboarding, joining a computer club, … Ex. 4, p. 11. Interview your classmates and make a report using the following expressions. Eg.: Have you ever skateboarded? Open your books at page 39 and read grammar reference. Review all tenses of the verb. Ex. 7, p. 11. Read the sentences and match them to the tenses. Eg.: I have never broken my arms and legs. – Present Perfect. Ex. 1, p. 44. The theme of our lesson is “Parts of the body”. Today we will talk about parts of our body, how we can hurt them and learn the idioms about them. Ex. 9 p. 12 Pair work. Look at these things you can do to your body. Work with your partner and underline the wrong answer in each. Translate and write down the new words. Ex. 10 p. 13 Give your partner some instructions and see if he/she can follow them. Eg.: Close your eyes! … Ex. 11 p. 13 Listen to three people talking about what happened to them when they were young. Draw a table in your notebooks and fill it. Listen to them again and check your answers. Ex. 13 p. 13 Group work. Divide into groups of 4. Tell the partners in your group about a part of your body, what happened to it and what the result was. Fill in the table as in ex. 11. Ex. 14 p. 13 Fill in the gaps in the following idioms with a suitable part of the body. Use the words in the box.

Write your ideas using the modal verbs may/might. Ex. 2 p. 14 Read and compare your ideas with the others. Ex. 3 p. 15 Listening. Listen to the text and check which of your ideas are mentioned. Open your books again at p. 261 and translate it. Ex. 4 p. 15 Look at the picture. What are the reasons for these teenagers looking nice? Write in your notebooks. See Grammar Reference on page 42. Here you can see the short answers of the owner of the company to a journalist. Write the interviewer’s questions and the owner’s full answers. Make up a dialogue . Eg.: How long have you been selling perfumes and soap? We have been selling these products since 1976.
