Nowadays, the university has 41 faculties. More than 4,000 academic staff work at the university. About 50,000 students are educated there. There are around 2,000 international students in the university.

Listen to some people giving advice. Fill in the chart in your Workbook. Use each statement only once. There is an extra statement.
Speaker A
If you are ready for a holiday, I advise you to choose an all-inclusive package. After you pay for the package, you needn’t worry about anything. You will get transportation from and to the airport, meals, drinks, a comfortable room with all modern conveniences. There is nothing more to worry about but relaxing and enjoying your rest.
Speaker B
We’ve already booked tickets. We are leaving next Sunday. We are going to spend two weeks at a comfortable hotel at the seaside. As the weather is hot and sunny at this time there, I advise you to take more shorts and T-shirts. I think we needn’t take any warm clothes. Don’t forget to pack your swimming suit and Panama hat. We’ll surely need a cream from sunburn. If you haven’t bought any yet, let’s go to the supermarket together.
Speaker C
It’s a pity, we haven’t got any for next Saturday. You must have booked them beforehand. It’s time for holidays and lots of people travel to the south these days. I can advise you to buy tickets for a train. It will take you longer to get to the seaside but you’ll surely get there. As we’ve got a rather wide choice of seats you can find any you like.
Speaker D
While doing your task in writing, you’ll be asked to write a letter to your English pen-friend. To begin with, read all the questions carefully and make sure you answer every of them. It’s a good idea to spend some time thinking about what you are going to write. Make a few notes in which you decide what vocabulary and grammar structures you can use. In this kind of task you should use a friendly and personal tone.
