 Narrator.-Each country has its own history. The history is made by the people.  Those who have done a lot for their Motherland, become national heroes. Our story is about one of them. He is known for "robbing from the rich and giving to the poor".

 So, let’s start. England. 1193.   One summer morning in a church.

                                                             Act 1.

Priest.- Do you, Robert of Huntingdon, take this woman, Marian Fitzwaler, to be your wife?

Robin Hood.- Yes, I do.

Priest.- Do you, Marian Fitzwalter, take this man, Robert of Huntingdon, to be your husband?

Marian.- Yes, I …

Sheriff.- Stop the wedding!

Robin Hood. –It’s the Sheriff of Nottingham….What’s the matter?

Sheriff- You are the enemy of the King!

Robin Hood.- Me, Robert, the Earl of Huntingdon, King Richard’s enemy? NEVER!

Sheriff.- Ha! Ha! Ha! Your Richard is in prison! Very far away!  Prince John is in power now! And he is my friend. From this moment you have no castle, no land and no title.

Robin Hood . - Marian, dear, I have nothing now… Do you still want to marry me?

Marian.- Yes, of course. I …

Sheriff.-  Soldiers, arrest him! He is the enemy of the King!

Marian.- No! Don’t do this!    Help! Stop them!

                                Act2.

Narrator.-The Sheriff of Nottingham arrested Robert, the Earl of Huntingdon, on his wedding day. Now he wants to put him in prison.

Sheriff.- People of Nottingham, Lincoln and suburbs! Listen and look! This is  Sir Guy of Gisborne, the new Earl of Huntingdon, and my  friend!

Guy of Gisborne.-  Listen, look and remember! I am the new Earl of Huntingdon. My name is Sir Guy of Gisborne. Sheriff is my friend!

Sheriff- And he is an outlaw! Take him to prison!

Guy of Gisborne.-  Take this outlaw to prison!

Robin Hood. - Never.

Sheriff-  Stop him!

Guy of Gisborne.- Don’t let  him run away! Stop the enemy of the king!

                                                         Act 3.

Narrator.-The soldiers and guards of the Sheriff couldn’t catch Robert of Huntingdon. He ran away and now was going along the road.

 Outlaw1.- Get off the road or give us all your money.

Scarlett.- Wait! This is Robert, Earl of Huntingdon.

Robin Hood.- Yes, and I know you, Will Scarlett. Who are these people? Why are they here in the forest?

Scarlet. - We are outlaws. The Sheriff is our enemy.

Outlaws 1,2,3. – Yes! We are outlaws.

 Outlaws 1,2,3.  We are outlaws - all of us.

 Look – men and women.

Even our children! The Sheriff is our enemy. 

Robin Hood. – From today, I am an outlaw too. Guy of  Gisborne has got my title and my castle.

Outlaw 2. You can join us!

Outlaws 1 ,2, 3.- Hey! Join us!

Outlaws 1,2 – Please, join  us.

Scarlet.- Yes! Be our leader against Gisborne and the Sheriff!

Outlaws 2,3.- Here is a bow for you and a green hood to wear.

              Rob the rich and give to the poor.

Robin Hood.- Thank you. Sherwood Forest is my castle now, and my name is… Robin…Robin Hood!

Scarlett.- Robin Hood, Lord of the Greenwood!

Outlaws(together).- Long live Robin Hood, Lord of the Greenwood, our leader.

Narrator.- So this is the beginning of the story about Robin Hood, a national hero of England, a skilled archer and swordsman. He devoted his life to help the poor. His fellow outlaws were called Merry Men. They fought against poverty together and saved King Richard.
