МЕТОДИЧЕСКАЯ РАЗРАБОТКА УРОКА АНГЛИСКОГО ЯЗЫКА НА ТЕМУ "OUR NATIVE LAND”

Аннотация: основная цель урока на тему «Наш родной край»- формирование социокультурной компетенции в рамках реализации требований ФГОС на уроках английского языка.

2)   развивающая: развивать навыки восприятия речи на слух; развивать способности к логическому изложению содержания высказывания, языковую догадку, научить формулировать выводы из прочитанного и услышанного.

3)   воспитательная: прививать любовь к родному округу, раскрыть его красоту и богатство, воспитывать сознательное отношение к учебе, чувство ответственности, работу в группе.

Учебно-методический комплекс урока: информационные листы по теме, презентация преподавателя, информационные ресурсы сети Интернет, карточки – задания.

Технические средства обучения: ПК; наушники; проектная доска.

Ход урока:

I.   Вступительная часть (Opening part):

T: Good morning, my dear friends. Well, students, last period we discussed the traditions and customs in the English-speaking countries. But, in my mind, it’s very important to know our own customs, traditions and holidays. You’ve heard the song about our Yamal. Now look carefully to the map. You see our district. It’ famous for oil and gas extraction, for a lot of swamps, fish, reindeers, berries. But more important in our district are people. Please, tell me what do you know about Yamal.

P1: YNAO is located in the West Siberian north, just northeast of the geographic border between Europe and Asia above the Arctic Circle.

P2: The reindeer and polar bears are the symbols of YANO. It’s believed that the people and the deer entered a kind of social contract. The polar bear is the sacred animal for the Nenets folk.

T: What native folks live in Yamal?

P3: The Selkups, the Khants, the Nenets.

T: Well, students. Now we should learn the new words of this topic.

6.   Reindeer – lives in the arctic regions of Greenland, Europe, and Asia. It also occurs in YNAO.

7.   Pasture - a land covered with grass or herbage growing on it.

T: Now, students, we are going to listen and to watch a small video about Our Yamal. You should listen to it very attentively and do the task.

T. Thank you, students. And now we should read some information about the main Yamal’s cities.

P1: Salekhard – the capital of our district. The city was created in 1595 as the fortress Obdorsk (from Komy means “relating to the river Ob”). In 1635 the town was given the name the Obdorsk barrier, and since that time the first citizens appeared. From 1807 till 1923 Obdorsk was the centre of Obdorsk volost Berezovsk uyezd Tobolsk province.

P2: Noyabrsk – our lovely city! In 1975 the helicopter Mi-8 disembarked the first discoverers of oil on the ices of the river Itu-Yakha. Then people came to our land in 1976 in November for building the railway “Surgut - Urengoy”. On April 28, 1982 the workmen’s settlement received the city status.

P3: Novy Urengoy. The symbolic peg was driven in a place of the future city with the sign “Novy Urengoy” on September 22, 1973. The settlement grew rapidly and in 1980 it became the city. The laying of the  gas pipe “Urengoy- Pomary- Uzhgorod” was finished in 1983 and since that time the gas – our ‘blue gold’ – began to arrive in the Western Europe.

P4: Nadym. In August 1971 there was a solemn ceremony of the first fundamental building in Nadym and in March 1972 this settlement became the town. From the Nenets language there are two variants of translation:

1)  the land covered with reindeer moss;

2)  the dry higher meadow lands.

P5: Tarko – Sale. The town Tarko – Sale is situated between two rivers – Pyakupur and Aivasedapur. The settlement was created in 1932. In translation

from the Nenets language this name means “the settlement between the rivers”. It became town in 2004.

Task 6. Read the Reindeer breeder’s commandments and answer the questions. (Прочитай заповеди оленевода и ответь на вопросы)

a)  If you desire to have a reindeer, you should go to the Earth-Mother edge.

b)   If you are going to have a new herd or change a pasture, be ready for the first three difficult years.

c)    If your feet step the reindeer’s tracks, you will have a chance to be a reindeer breeder.

d)  It’s not a man, who pastures the reindeers, it’s a fire (дымокур).

e)  A reindeer is like a twig on a tree, if you do the wrong move it breaks.

f)    Settle down you should firstly think and do everything what is good for your reindeers and young deer, secondly – you should think of you and your children. Remember: if your reindeers feel well today then you will be happy tomorrow.

g)    You should be very attentive talking to another reindeer breeder. Listen, ask and remember. But do the things in your way? Listen to your heart, and don’t copy anybody else.
