I love my town very

is connected with Yugorsk. My great
grandmother Mariya and her
grandmother, Nina came to settlement
Komsomolskiy in 1962. My mother
was born here and my Dad came To
Yugorsk from town Ivdel. I love my
family very much. We often work
together, and rest together. It is very
important that we are all very friendly
and loving in our family.
You can always get the right advice
when you need it. I
Today Yugorsk is one of the small but
beautiful towns of Khanty
Mansiiskiy Okrug. It is known far
beyond the Yugra. Gazprom
Transgaz Yugorsk the largest gas
transportation company in the world.
Every day our town became more
beautiful thanks to the labor and love
of its inhabitants. They write new
pages of history of Yugorsk.
Let us speak about the history of Yugorsk at first. Nearly half a century
ago there was an endless taiga instead of Yugorsk. But in the early 60th
the construction of the railway "Ivdel Ob“ began. A few years later,
after the discovery of Beryozovsky's oil field, Yugorsk began to develop
the industry on transportation and natural gas supplies. A 175kilometer
railway Ivdel Ob station is located on the Ess. It is the name of the river
flowing nearby.
The Essky logging station was founded.
The station itself was renamed after the Geological Station.
And in June 1, 1962 according to the Decree of the Presidium of the
Supreme Soviet of the USSR the settlement Komsomolskiy was born.
In 1992 the settlement Komsomolskiy was renamed into Yugorsk.

And this is my school № 6. It is new and wonderful. I would like to start our
excursion from this place. It is in Finskiy district. I am in the 4 «v» Form.
Let us go sightseeing in the centre of Yugorsk.

Yugorsk .
It is situated not far from the Town
park.

the heart of Yugorsk!
You can see the
Sergiy
Radoneshskiy’s
cathedral.
There is the Chapel in the
central square in
Yuqorsk, not far from the
Sergiy Radonezhskiy’s
Cathedral.
It is one of the
fragments of the
Chapel.
You can see a group of
the builders, who made
their best to create the
Cathedral.
Alexey II, Moscow and All Russia Patriarch,
awarded Valeriy Nikolayevich Gnidkovskiy, one of the
main builders, by a medal on 13th of August in 2001.
The builders began to
set up the Cathedral
in 1997.
The cathedral was
founded in 2001.
And now we can't
imagine our town
without one of the
most beautiful
cathedrals in our
country.

Yugorsk is the town where
many different people live.
They communicate, work, rest
together.
Opposite the Town park
there is the Palace of the
Family.
«YugraPresent» is
next to the Family
House.
There is a hospital opposite the Town park.
You can see the Town Museum not far from the Town park
The Museum of History is not far from the Railway Station.
You can learn the history of our town by its exhibitions.
If you go straight you will see the
SportHealthy complex "Yubileiny».
Sport takes an important place in the
life of our citizens. They take part in
different competitions at the Sport
Healthy complexes "Yubileiny" and
"Smena“. A lot of citizens go in for
different kinds of competitions. There
are champions who have got high titles
at the International and European
competitions in the town.
Not far from the Railway station
there is a monument to the builders and employees of the railroad
IvdelOb.
This is the Sanatorium near the Railway
station.
