Класс 8-В

Тема урока : Обобщение по теме СТИХИЙНЫЕ БЕДСТВИЯ, Природа , флора и фауна.

Цели урока ;

-ввести пройденную лексику из   уроков, изучаемой темы;

- активизировать и закрепить лексику  на уроке;

- развивать внимание, мышление, тренировать память;

-развивать коммуникативные навыки; технику чтения, письма,                        аудирования,говорения, перевода;

- отрабатывать четкое произношение;

- прививать любовь и интерес к изучению языка.

Оборудование:ИКТ, проектор

Ход урока

I.Начало урока

1.4 Объявление темы урока

II. Основная часть урока

2.1Teacher:Today we ‘ll have  revision at the big theme” NATURAL DISASTERS” and we ‘ll  start from repeating words. So, look at the screen (video 1)

2.2 Teacher:In this task you can describe the pictures on the screen which you choose and answer on my questions

What is it an earthquake?

What is it hail?

What is it flood?

What is it tsunami ?

2.3 Reading.

Teacher: Students, in front of you there is a text, so, read it with attention and fill the gaps (Video 2).

2.4 Now we have a rest! (физкультминутка)

Yellow. red. blue and brown

See. The little leaves come down

Dancing , dancing in the breeze

Falling, falling from the trees

2.5 Listening. Text Natural disasters ( video 3). Listen the text and decide if the statements are true or false?

There are some unknown words. I want you to write them down into your vocabularies

Warn- предупреждать,to order-приказывать, to fortify- укреплять, shelter-укрытие, приют, to evacuate-эвакуировать, перемещать, to destroy- разрушать, due to - из-за, rescuers- спасатели.

 Teacher: So, you have heard the text. Your task is to guess if the statements are true or false?

1)    Emergency services warned the residents of New Orleans about the  coming disaster.

2)    For those who couldn’t be evacuated due to have health reasons, the city authorities and rescue services prepared eight fortified shelters.

3)    About 80% of the local population left the city and its surroundings.

4)    Due to bad weather conditions rescuers, the police and the army , many people   were waiting for help four days

2.6 Now I want to play the game. You should replace the letters in order to make a word.

2.7. In  the last task you should choose the correct item

1) A lot of animals died during the flood/ drought because there wasn’t enough water.

2) The tornado/ earthquake was so strong that it lifted houses up into the air

3) A terrible hurricane/ tsunami with strong winds and rain destroyed people’s houses.

4) The heavy rain caused a tornado/flood that washed a lot of cars into the river.

5) During the earthquake/ tsunami, the ground shook violently and a lot of buildings were damaged

 

This task was the last for today
