St. Valentine's Day Script (слова автора P1) Many people around the world celebrate St. Valentine's Day,  but obviously not all of them really know the origin of this event. Meanwhile, there are different versions. We’d like to tell you the romantic one. The story started in ancient Rome. At that time the emperor was cruel Claudius II.  He was so abscessed with the idea of ideal army that prohibited his soldiers to  marry. He considered marriage to be distracting for them.  Soldier Peter (P2): ­ Dear Lisa, will you marry me? Lisa (His girlfriend) (P3): ­ Oh, Peter! You know that it is prohibited. You are the soldier! Soldier Peter (P1): ­ But still. if you could, would you marry me? Tell me! Lisa (His girlfriend) (P3): ­ Of course, I would. But it is just a dream. Soldier Peter (P2): ­     I wish we had a way out! (слова автора P6)But there was one bishop who felt sympathy with theses poor  people and tried to help them. St.Valentine ( P4): ­ Sorry for interrupting you, but I heard your talk.  I can help  you. Lisa (His girlfriend) (P3): ­ But who are you?  St.Valentine (P4) : ­ My name is Valentine.  Soldier Peter (P2): ­ How can you help us? St.Valentine (P4): ­ I’m a bishop and I can help you with the marriage. Lisa (His girlfriend) (P3): ­ It’s so kind of you! But it is prohibited. If the  Claudius knows  about it, a disaster will necessarily happen!!! St.Valentine (P4): ­ Don’t worry about it! I’m not afraid of Claudius. I’ll tell  neither man nor mouse. It will be a secret marriage. Now you are the husband and  the wife! Soldier Peter (P2): ­ Oh, it is great. Thank you very much!!! (слова автора P1)Unfortunately Claudius learnt about it and threw Valentine  into prison. But even there he continued to work wonders. In prison he fell in love  with the daughter of his executioner, Valery, who was blind.  Valery (P5): ­ It is not fair to make you suffer like that. I think you are a good  person. St.Valentine (P4): ­ Thank you for your words. But I don’t regret anything I did.  Valery (P5): ­ Oh, I hear someone’s coming. I need to go. Bye.  (слова автора P6)One night he sent a love­note to her with these words. St.Valentine (P4) : ­ Dear, Valery. I feel that my end is so close. And there is no  chance to survive. But I want you to know, that there is only one thing that makes  my life happy. It is you. You helped me, saved me from unbearable anguish and  loneliness. I love you. Be happy!  Sincerely yours, Valentine! Valery (P5): ­ What happened? I can see!!!! It is a miracle! But …Valentine! I  need to see him! Now!  (слова автора P6)Unfortunately when she came, Valentine was dead… (слова автора P1)Valentine was executed on the 14 (fourteenth of February).  Mane years later Valentine was proclaimed to be saint. Since then people  celebrate St.Valentine’s day on the 14 (fourteenth of February) and consider this  day the day of lovers. .
