Тема урока: Money. How responsible are you with your money?
(Деньги. Насколько ответственно вы относитесь к своим деньгам?

Цель урока: развитие коммуникативной компетенции при обсуждении проблемы «Деньги».
1. Языковая: активизация лексики по теме «Деньги» в группах, в парах.
2. Речевая компетенция: тренировка навыков говорения (дискуссия, монологическое высказывание), автоматизация навыков аудирования (при прослушивании песни «Money, money, money»), обсуждение значения идиом.
3. Языковая: активизация лексики по теме «Деньги» в группах, в парах.
4. Учебно-познавательная: содействовать развитию критического мышления учащихся, умению выделять главное в потоке информации, анализировать и обобщать, развитию долговременной памяти учащихся, внимания, умения высказывать свои суждения об отношении к деньгам, вовлечению учащихся в дискуссию, в работу в группах.
Задачи:
Обучающая:
- активизировать употребление в речи лексических единиц по теме «Money»;
- развивать умения и навыки аудирования;
-развивать умения и навыки ознакомительного и изучающего чтения;
- совершенствовать коммуникативные навыки обучающихся;
Развивающая:
- развивать внимание, память, мышление обучающихся;
- развивать познавательную активность;
-развивать умение анализировать и делать выводы
- развивать речевые способности, умение анализировать.
Воспитательная:
- формировать устойчивую мотивацию к изучению английского языка;
- формировать навыки культуры общения;
- развивать умения и навыки работы в парах, командах с целью достижения общего результата;
- формировать ответственное отношение к деньгам.
Тип урока: совершенствование знаний, умений и навыков .
Форма урока: фронтальная, индивидуальная.
Применяемые технологии: коммуникативные, здоровьесберегающие.
Оборудование:
Учебник, компьютер, запись песни, раздаточный материал с заданиями на урок.
Ход урока:
1.Организационный момент
Good morning,pupils ! I’m glad to see you. I think you’re fine and I hope we’ll have a wonderful time together. Today we’re going to do vocabulary, speech exercises, listen to the song, read and discuss .
Please, listen to the song and say what’s name of our theme today?
Аудирование: Listen, please to the song of a very popular group of the past, “ABBA”……. “Money, money, money”
Task for the song:
1. Listen to the song and fill in the gaps.
2. Can you tell about meaning of song. Whаt is the girl in the song dreaming about? (Our theme is “Money”, and the girl is dreaming about the rich man, for not to work hard and not to pay all bills).
You’re right. We’re going to talk about shopping and the way teenagers spend their money.

1. Сообщение темы урока. Look at the saying “The art is not in making money, but in keeping it”- Искусство не в том, чтобы делать деньги, а в том, чтобы их хранить”.. Explain the meaning of this saying. And can you name the topic of your discussion today. (money)
2. Речевая зарядка: First let us warm up a little. You can see some words on the сard. Remember the meaning of the words connected with money and group them into 2 categories: some of them refer to getting money and other words refer to giving it.

3. Групповая работа: Teacher: Let’s divide into two groups.
Task№1. Let’s remember the words related to money (group work). To pay, to waste, salary… (students will work in 2 groups). The winner will be the group which will write more words connected to money. Each group should name only one word from the list and so on .. until your words will be finished.
Task№2. Very good! We’ll continue our work in groups. The next task is: The first group will tell us the advantages of having a lot of money, the second – disadvantages. And you are to explain your point of view. Your time is limited-ограниченый, only 3 minutes.

You can buy whatever you want. You are afraid to lose your money.
You can travel all over the world. Everybody asks you to lend money.
You needn’t work. It’s difficult to find real friends.
You can always help your relatives and friends… You must always think where to hide money
Task №3 Read the English idioms connected to money and tell the meaning of the idioms.
Money doesn’t grow on trees. (This means that money is always hard to get.)
Money is the root of all evil. (This means that money can often make people do bad things.)
I’m not made of money. (This means that I only have a certain amount of money that belongs to me.)
That will cost me an arm and a leg. (This means that something is too expensive, it costs too much.)
You look like a million Dollars. (This means that you look great and healthy.)
Money makes the World go round. (This means that money helps us to live and things to happen.)
4. Аудирование: Listen, please to the song of a very popular group of the past, “ABBA”……. “Money, money, money”

5. Дискуссия: Topic of discussion is “How responsible are you with your money?” Open your books on page 40. Read six situations about money and discuss them. Give your reasons.
