Урок английского языка по теме “Famous sports in OSSETIA RUSSIA BRITAIN”. 10 класс Цели урока: Образовательные  обобщить лексический материал по теме,  совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения  английским языком по всем видам речевой деятельности по данной  теме; Развивающие  развивать навыки монологической речи, навыки чтения с  извлечением необходимой информации,  развивать умения вести дискуссию; Воспитательные  воспитывать у учащихся ценностное отношение к жизни, чувство  уважения к достижениям, как своих соотечественников, так и к  мировым достижениям,  вызвать интерес к истории спорта, пропагандируя здоровый образ  жизни. Boxers never used to use gloves with padding, but they used a metal studded leather hand covering which was so dangerous that opponents might kill each other during a fight. There is always a silent respect between boxers. All you have to say if you lose a match that you gave it your best shot. Now boxing is number one in Ossetia thanks to Gassiev. Murat Gassiev was born in October 12, 1993. His parents weren't rich, despite this, they did their best to give him and his elder brother a decent upbringing. When Murat was 9, a tragedy occurred to the family - his father, Georgy Gassiev, died. Murat's mother was left alone with two sons, so to feed her family she took three jobs and when Murat turned 13, he himself began to work on a construction site to help his mother. He was fond of judo, football, wrestling, but when he was 14 his brother told him to visit the boxing training. From the very first moment he realized that he had found an occupation to his liking (of his own). Despite of the fact that the group in the sports club had already been recruited, the coaches liked the kid's behavior on the ring as the athletic teenager defeated the sparring partner. Gassiev made his professional boxing debut at the age of 17,beating 22-year-old Roman Mirzoev, this fight was followed by another 27 very impressive wins. At the Bolshoy Ice Dome, which took place in February 2018, Gassiev defeated Yunier Dorticos, and now he is preparing for another big fight with Oleksandr Usyk. His boxing nickname "Iron" is a result of a literal translation from English and from ossetian word meaning Ossetian [Iron]. David Beckham is a well-known English footballer, who is now retired. During his career he played for various clubs, including “Manchester United”, “Real Madrid”, “Milan”. He is especially famous for his excellent performance skills on the field and free kicks. In 2011, he became the highest-paid footballer in the world.      David Robert Joseph Beckham was born on the 2nd of May 1975 in Leytonstone, London. David Beckham was the family’s only son. David inherited his parents’ love of Manchester United, and his main sporting passion was football. When David was a toddler, his dad, Ted made balls out of rolled- up socks for him to kick. He became a phenom almost from the moment he could first kick a soccer ball. His dream kick started at this point. In a 2007 interview, Beckham said that, “At school whenever the teachers asked, ‘What do you want to do when you’re older?’ I’d say, ‘I want to be a footballer.’ And they’d say, ‘No, what do you really want to do, for a job?’ But that was the only thing I ever wanted to do.” Ex.5 Imagine you have an opportunity to invite a famous ossetian sportsman in your class.
