Дели: совершенствование навыков выразительного рассказывания стихотворений; тренировка монологической речи (выражение несогласия; составление предложений с заданными словами); поддержание интереса к изучению иностранного языка.
Оборудование: рисунки детей к празднику Пасхи; цветы; шары; открытки на конкурс «Лучшая открытка»; 3 набора карточек с названиями месяцев; шляпа Незнайки.
Ход мероприятия
—What date is it today? What is the season now? (It is spring.)
—Let's listen to some poems about spring.
Учитель приветствует детей. Ученики выходят к доске и декламируют стихотворения о весне.

Весна. I am Spring. People call me the season of hope and happiness. When I come, flowers begin to grow, green leaves appear on the trees. Birds come from South and begin to build their nests. Children help their fathers and mothers to plant trees, vegetables and flowers. The sky is blue. Early May rains wash the earth and everything looks so beautiful. Let's sing a song "Spring is Here".

Весна. Do you know what holiday people will celebrate tomorrow? (// is Easter.) You are right. I am glad that one of my days is Easter. And what do you know about this holiday?
Ученик 7. The name "Easter' itself derives from the name of the saxon goddess of Spring and of the dawn - Eastre (or Eostre). The name "Eastre" was also used to denote the ancient Norse festival of Spring sun, which celebrated the awakening of new life and the death of winter. The Christian Easter gradually replaced the pagan festival, although some of the rites of Spring are still remained.
Ученик 8. Easter was a movable festival (identified by the lunar calendar), while Christian believed that Easter should always fall on Sunday, the day Christ was resurrected. It was not until the year 325 A. D., that a council of churchmen assisted by astronomers decided that Easter should fall on the first Sunday after the first full moon on the first day of spring (March 21) or thereafter.
Весна. Many modern Easter symbols come from pagan times. The egg, for instance, was a fertility symbol long before the Christian era. The ancient Greeks and Chinese exchanged eggs at their spring festivals. Today people enjoy eating candy bunnies and coloured eggs. It's time to sing a song about a rabbit.

(Девочка в роли Весны привлекает внимание учащихся к открыткам, развешенным на доске. Ученики по очереди выходят к доске, демонстрируют свои открытки и зачитывают пожелания к празднику Пасхи. Лучшая открытка выбирается всеми учащимися и учителем.)

Учитель проводит и организует следующие игры с детьми.
Игра «Составляем предложения*
Ученики встают в круг. Учитель находится в центре круга.Учитель бросает мяч ученику и называет слово по теме «Природа». Ученик ловит мяч.
Teacher. Flowers.
Pupil 1. There are many flowers in spring.
Teacher. Leaves.
Pupil 2 . The leaves are green. ,
Teacher. To rain.
Pupil 3. It often rains in autumn. Etc.
Игра «Двенадцать месяцев»
Учащиеся делятся на команды по 4-5 человек. Каждая команда получает набор карточек с названиями месяцев. Ребята должны разложить карточки по порядку в 4 колонки; 1 колонка - зимние месяцы, 2 - весенние, 3 - летние, 4 - зимние. Задание выполняется на скорость. Выигрывает команда, быстрее выполнившая задание.
Игра «Помоги Незнайке»
Из числа детей выбирается ведущий, который будет выступать в роли Незнайки. Задание для учащихся: исправить утверждения Незнайки.
