Let’s listen!
ORGANISATION MOMENT:
Put up the My Toys! Poster on the board. Point o the items, one a
time and say a word. Ask the pupils to say yes or no.
T.: (pointing to the bike) bike
Ch.: yes!
T.: (pointing to the doll) car
Ch.: No
Pupil’s books closed. Put up the flashcards, one at a time, and
say the corresponding words. The pupils repeat, chorally,
individually. Point to each flashcard in random order. Ask
individual pupil to say the command. Ask the rest of the class
for verification. Give a command, e.g. Stand up!. The pupils
follow it.
Pupils open the book. PLAY THE CD. The pupils listen, point
to the pictures and repeat the words. Play the CD again pausing
after each word. The pupils repeat chorally and individually.
Set the scene by asking the pupils questions about What they can
see in the picture. Point to the picture ask to pupils :
T.: Oh, sillyTV! Can you Nanny help?
Class: Yes
T.: Yes. Look! Thanks, Nanny! Look at Lilly! Clap your hands.

Point to the pictures and elicit the commands. Explain the
activity. The pupils listen and number the pictures. Play the CD ,
twice if necessary. The pupils listen and complete the activity.
Check their answers.
Say and mime the following action: common on everybody, clap
your hands and mime the actions. Follow the same procedure
and present the rest song.
Play the CD. The pupils listen to the song. Play the song again
for groups to sing the assigned verses.
Set the scene by asking the pupils questions about What they can
see in the picture. Point to the picture ask to pupils : Look at
Lilly’s room!
What colour is Lilly’s bed.
Pink.
(pointing to Lilly’s toys) Lilly’s got a lot of toys!
What is this?
A doll!
Play the CD. The pupils listen and follow the dialogue in their
books.
MY LETTERS
Put up the My ABC poster on the board. Point to the letter I and
say J [djei] the pupils repeat after teacher. Point the letter and ask
the pupils to say the sound
Point to the picture of the kite and say K [kei] TRACE letter
The pupils trace and then write the letter Kk
Point to the picture of the lemon and say Ll [el] TRACE letter
The pupils trace and then write the letter Ll
Put up the poster on the board My Toys! Invite the pupils to
come to the front of the classroom. Ask him/her: what have you
got?
Encourage him/her to point to on item on the poster and answer
e.g. I have got a bike
