Интеллектуальная игра «Путешествие по Великобритании»

 

Цель игры: формирование у обучающихся интереса и позитивного отношения к иноязычной культуре и традициям стран изучаемого языка; развитие потребности пользоваться иностранным языком как средством межличностного общения.

Методическая цель: отработка применения игровой технологии в рамках внеурочной деятельности по иностранному языку.

Основные задачи:

·         создать условия для выявления одарённых и талантливых обучающихся в области иностранных языков;

·         развивать социокультурную, компенсаторную и учебно-познавательную компетенцию;

·         формировать предметные, метапредметные и личностные УУД обучающихся;

·         сформировать потребность изучать историю и культуру своей страны и стран изучаемого языка;

·         развивать творческую активность учащихся, способствовать расширению их культурного диапазона;

·         повышать мотивацию к изучению иностранных языков;

·         создать условия для обобщения и закрепления знаний обучающихся по страноведческому материалу.

Оборудование: карта Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, флаги и эмблемы частей страны, магнитная доска, картина спирали, магниты трех цветов для продвижения команд по спирали, мультимедийный проектор, презентация Microsoft Power Point

 

Интеллектуальная игра «Путешествие по Великобритании» проводится в каждом классе в каждой подгруппе иностранного языка в двух форматах – групповой и индивидуальный форматы. Групповой формат предполагает проведение игры, подгруппа делится на три команды по 3-4 человека. Игра состоит из одного тура. В ходе игры участники команды выбирают категорию вопросов и стоимость вопроса. На обсуждение ответа дается 2 минуты, после отведенного времени отвечает команда, выбравшая вопрос. При правильном ответе количество баллов команды увеличивается, при неправильном – оставшиеся команды получают право дать свой ответ на этот же вопрос. Отвечает на вопрос тот, кто первым поднимет руку. Если в течение трёх секунд на вопрос никто не отвечает, то ведущий объявляет правильный ответ. Игра длится 40 мин. Участники должны выбрать все предлагаемые вопросы. Выбранный вопрос удаляется и больше не участвует в игре.

По ходу игры ведущий (преподаватель, работающий на 6 курсе в данном классе) ведет счет, прибавляет баллы за каждый правильный ответ. И отнимает баллы за нарушение дисциплины во время игры (шум, выкрикивание ответов, подсказки). По окончанию игры ведущий суммирует все баллы команд. Индивидуальный формат предполагает выполнение заданий викторины по темам.

Для успешного участия в викторине необходимо владеть информацией по следующим вопросам:

·         географическое положение стран и национальная символика;

·         политическое устройство;

·         традиции и праздники;

·         достопримечательности;

·         культура и выдающиеся личности

 

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ:

 

I. Beginning

a) Greeting and explaining the rules of the game.

Teacher: Dear boys and girls! Today we are going to have an unusual lesson - a competition between three teams. It will be a game on the country studies of Great Britain. We are going to speak about land and people, the government, culture, holidays and customs of Great Britain.

      Listen to the rules of our game. The questions have been divided into 4 categories: “The land and its people” (green field), “Political system” (blue field), Culture (yellow field), Holidays and customs (pink field). There are 9 questions on each field. You may choose the category and the number of question on your own. If you answer the question correctly, you `ll make one step forward on the spiral. The more questions you answer, the closer you will be to the surprise. The winner will receive the surprise. You will answer in turn but both teams must discuss the questions. If the team doesn't know the correct answer, another team may have a try to answer the question. You may use the map of Great Britain to help you.

And now the captains of the teams come to the table and choose the colour of your magnets and draw a card with the number which shows who will start the game.
