Getting started How to describe people?   In English there are words that describe people’s character, and others to describe their physical appearance. These words are called Adjectives and they modify the nouns in a different way than we do it in Spanish. In English, adjectives come BEFORE the noun they modify. Example:  The old man was walking very fast. In this case, the adjective tall modifies the word man.  Our big family always celebrates birthdays on a Sunday. In this case, the adjective big modifies the word family. Building language Here are some examples of words that are used to describe people’s Emotions. Here are some examples of words that are used to describe people’s physical traits. Your Turn Paste a picture of yourself or a family member and write a description about it. Grammar point Descriptions are done using adjectives. An adjective can tell the following a bout a person or an object: Practice 1. There are two small bathrooms. There are three big bedrooms. My bedroom is blue and green. I have got posters on the walls and a wooden desk. There are a lot of papers on my desk! It is a mess! There is a garden. It has got nice pink and violet flowers and green plants. I really like my house. At this moment I am listening to rock music in my bedroom. My parents are watching a comedy on TV in the living room. My dog is running fast in the garden. 3. Describe these people He is an elderly gentleman. He has grey hair and he is balding.
