TED is an American private non-profit foundation, best known for its annual conferences. Conferences have been held since 1984 in the city of Monterey, and since 2009 in the city of Long Beach (California, USA). The mission of the conference is to spread unique ideas. The topics of the lectures are diverse: science, art, design, politics, culture, business, global problems, technology and entertainment.
