Skipton Sheep Day in Great Britain

Skipton Sheep Day (Yorkshire) is held each year on 1^st of July to celebrate Skipton’s heritage – Skipton is ‘Sceap Tun’ in Anglo Saxon, meaning Sheep Town.

The entertainment includes the Sheep Show. The Sheep Show is an educational and fun show with real sheep and shearing demonstrations. The show also features different breeds of sheep and a spot of sheep dancing!

There are also plenty of other animal-based attractions, a whole range of art and countryside craft sideshows, vintage tractors, dry stone walling, spinning and weaving demonstrations, and wood carving at the event.

As usual, there is a farmers market and stalls lining the street, selling local food, drinks, and crafts.
