Открытый урок по английскому языку в 6 классе по теме «Наш досуг»

(«Our leisure activities»)

Цели урока:

  • Образовательная: формирование умений монологической и диалогической речи по теме урока, понимания высказываний учителя и собеседника в различных учебных ситуация.
  • Развивающая: развитие коммуникативной компетенции учащихся на основе изученных лексических единиц, речевых и грамматических структур по теме “Свободное время”, развитие творческих способностей учащихся и расширение кругозора.
  • Воспитательная: воспитание интереса к культуре и традициям стран изучаемого языка, акцентирование внимания учащихся на способах проведения досуга.

Задачи урока:

  • тренироваться в употреблении лексики по теме “Свободное время”;
  • развивать умение аудирования с извлечением необходимой информации;
  • тренировка коммуникативного взаимодействия обучающихся;

Тип урока – урок обобщающего повторения.

Педагогические технологии: информационная, проектная, коммуникативная, критического мышления.

Формы работы: фронтальная, индивидуальная, парная, групповая.

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, аудиозаписи, УМК Ю.Е. Ваулина, Д.Дули, В. Эванс “Английский в фокусе 6 класс”.

Ход урока

1.      Greeting. /Организационный момент/.

Teacher:  Hello, dear boys and girls! How are you?

Pupils:  Good morning. Fine, thank you. And you?

Teacher:  I’m OK too, thank you. Now, face partners, look at each other and smile to each other. Shoulder partners, say “Hello” to each other.  What day is it today?

Pupils:  Today is Wednesday.

Teacher:  Yes, you are right. What is the weather today?

Pupils:  It is cold, cloudy, snowy today.

Teacher:  Thank you. But it’s warm here, in our classroom. What is the date today?

Pupils:  Today is the 1-st of March.

Teacher:  Right you are. Today is the first day of spring. You will have holidays very soon. And you’ll have a lot of free time. But now look at the screen. We’ll use the structure SEE-THINK-WONDER. (Slide 1) You should answer 3 questions: 1) What do you see?

Pupils:  Children are playing computer games. Men  are playing football. A man and a woman are dancing……..etc.

Teacher:  2) What do you think about that?

Pupils:  I think about my free time, hobby….etc…

Teacher:  3) What does it make you wonder?

Pupils:  How many different hobbies are there? So many people, so many activities.

Teacher:  Thank you for your answers. I think, now you are ready to say the theme of our lesson.

Pupils:  Hobby. Free time.

Teacher:  You are almost right. Today we’ll speak about leisure activities.

 

2.      Warm-up.

Teacher:  We’ll use the structure ROUND ROBIN. And now I’d like you to talk about your free time. You work in groups, every participant tells what he/she likes to do in his/her free time. A person with the longest hair begins. You have 1 minute.

Teacher:  Now partners 1, share your ideas, please. Partners 3, tell us what your face-partners like to do.

3.      Speaking, reading and writing.

Teacher:  Now we’ll speak about the new idea of spending free time and use Running dictation. 

1)      You work in pairs. Partners 2 and 4 stand up, look for the pieces of paper with the words, read them, remember and dictate to your partners. You should find 8 words and write them all. Let’s start!

·         Физкультминутка.

Teacher:  Let’s sing a song and dance! (Skinny-marinki) 

 

4.      Listening. You have got 8 words. Now you will listen to the texts. You should match those texts and the words and say what games the speakers prefer. So, you’ve done the task. Now tell me, please, what are these texts about? Tell it in your own words.

5.      Speaking

Teacher:  You see different board games on the table. Imagine, that you are in the shop. One of you will be a shop assistant, another one will be a customer.

Pupils make dialogues.

6.      Reflection. Take a strip of paper (if you understood everything and liked the lesson, take red one, if you understood something and the lesson is so-so for you, take white strip; if you didn’t understand anything and didn’t like the lesson, take brown one), fold it in half, and put on one side some glue, then put 2 sides together. You’ve got a heart. Put them on the board. Your marks are….. The lesson is over. Goodbye.
