Aims: 1. Practical:  To get acquainted with new theme, new words;   To learn the new words;  To teach pupils to speak about a typical day at school. 2. Developmental:  To develop memory;  To develop reading skills. 3. Up bringing:  To keep discipline. Type of the lesson: combined, playing. Equipment: picture, cards, books, notes. Organization moment: Actions of the lesson Good afternoon, students! I am glad to see you! Let’s begin our lesson! Today we  are going to speak about a typical day at school; we will speak what we do at school. Also  we will read and learn new words, read the text, o many exercises. Let’s start! 2. Warm – up. First of all let’s read the poem and say what about this poem! The school The school has doors that open wide And friendly teachers wait inside Hurry, hurry, let’s go in, For soon the lesson will begin. Books and pencils I will need, When I start to write and read, Lots to learn and lots to do I like to go to school, don’t you? Ok! Very good! Now let’s answer the questions.  Is your school big or small?  How many floors has your school got?  Where is the school library situated?  Do you like you school? Why?  What are your favourite subjects? Very good! Nice! 3. Home task. Let’s check your hometask! At home you should complete the sentences. 1. What is “primary school”? 2. What is “infant school”? 3. What is “junior school”? 4. What is “comprehensive school”? 5. What is “grammar school”? 4. New theme. So let’ do exercises. At first, we will learn new words and phrases, which help us. to do homework, to have dinner,  to go to bathroom, to come home at ___ o’clock, to go for a walk, to make my bed, to read books,  to listen to music, to watch TV,  to go to bed. to dress, to have breakfast at ___ o’clock, to put my school things into my bag, to go to school, to have 5 lessons,  to get up at___o’clock, to come home at ___ o’clock, to go for a walk, to make my bed, to do morning exercises, to have supper, ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ Let’s read the words and try to translate them. 5. Do exercises. Now you should try to put these words in order and then you should complete the  sentences using these words. But your sentences must be about school day. Very good! Talk to your partner. (ex 11 p 61)  Do you wear a uniform? If you don’t, would you like to wear a uniform? Why?  Why not?  What are the advantages and disadvantages of wearing a uniform at school?  Complete the table. Draw a table of this kind in your notes.   Yes, I wear a uniform. I like a uniform, because it’s beautiful. I don’t like a uniform  because it’s not comfortable.  Advantages  Beautiful  All people same Discipline  Strictness  Isn’t very expensive  Very good! Enough for you. Now open your diaries and write down your homework. At home you should do  ex 10 and ex 13 on page 61. You should write about your typical day in school and read the  text. 7.
