Focus on reading
Work in pairs. Read the biography to find out. Discuss this information with all class (think-pair-share). Teacher can ask some questions: 1. Who was J.M.Barrie? (He was a writer) 2. Where was he born? (He was born in Scotland) 3. Which famous character did he create? (Peter Pan)
Pre-reading Work in small groups. Teacher asks learners to read the words and look up the meaning of the words using dictionaries either online or paper. Lagoon, cave, forest, upside down, leaf, sew, asleep,lost, lift up, blow, fairy dust
Teacher checks if their answers are correct or not.
Reading Teacher asks learners to read the story “Peter Pan”. Less-able learners should be supported with vocabulary.
