Part II. Topic, Lesson Objectives and Assessment Criteria (2 min)

Present Topic, lesson objectives and assessment criteria

Topic: Magnetic field.  Interaction between the conductor and current, Amper's experiments. Magnetic induction vector

Learning objectives:

·         to explain the physical meaning of magnetic induction vector based on problem solving and modern technological advances (magnetic levitation train, etc.)

Part III. Teacher’s Explanation on Magnetic field (15 min)

Using slides explain magnetic field properties. Use the Interactive Lesson Questions in the slides to keep the students involved.

Part IV. Poster-session (20 min)

Please divide into 3 groups.

Each group represents a

1 Magnetic field.

2 Interaction between the conductor and current,

3 Amper's experiments. Magnetic induction vector.

Please answer each question as specified on your group’s criteria.

Use the info sheet provided to make your poster.

Part V Structured questions + Feedback (30 min)

Now we will solve some structured questions about magnetic field and its properties

You may work in pairs.

Reflection/Homework (2 min)

Before you go, can you please put up your reflection of this lesson using your reflection cards?

Differentiation – how do you plan to give more support? How do you plan to challenge the more able learners?

Assessment – how are you planning to check students’ learning?

Health and safety regulations

·         Multiple Intelligences

-          Visual students will watch the video

-          Logical-Mathematical students will solve some difficult problems

·         Differentiation by questioning

·         Worksheet with varied difficulties

Assessment – how are you planning to check students’ learning?

Self-assessment

Questions during the lesson will also serve as formative assessment.

The interaction between students and teachers will serve as assessment to students understanding of the topic.

None in this topic.

Reflection

Were the lesson objectives/learning objectives realistic? Did all learners achieve the LO?

If not, why?

Did my planned differentiation work well?

Did I stick to timings?

What changes did I make from my plan and why?

Use the space below to reflect on your lesson. Answer the most relevant questions from the box on the left about your lesson.
