Snow-bank, snow-drift
To be caught in the snow
Snowfall
It sleets
The frost bites the face/cheeks
The branches were bowed down with the weight of the snow
The frost broke
A snowstorm broke forth
The frost breaks up
To breathe on one’s fingers
My hands are frozen stiff.
To clear the snow from the pavement
On frosty days the trees are clothed in silver.
The snow came down thick.
The streets are covered with snow.
Snowflakes fall gently down on the ground.
WINTER
The sun burnt away the snow.
Flowers are coming out.
There is a chilly wind blowing in our faces.
Trees are breaking out into buds.
Spring points the fields with a thousand hues.
SPRING
Spring gives place to summer.
The sun brings us cherry blossoms.
The rain is like a deluge from the heaven.
Butterflies are playing in the air.
The heat of a wonderful summer lasts into September.
