The theme: More about London./Узнаем больше о Лондоне.

The aims: educational -to find out more about the capital of Great Britain/Получить больше информации о столице Великобритании; to learn to get more information about London/Научить добывать дополнительную информацию о Лондоне; developing - to respect English history and traditions, English language and culture/уважать английскую историю и традиции, английский язык и культуру; communicative- to teach to speak with natives of a foreign country / научить общаться с носителями языка в англоязычной стране.

•         Организационный момент.

Hello, dear pupils! How are you? Are you well today? Nice to see you!

Phone drill : Continue the word combinations, please:  Westminster (Abbey),   Trafalgar (Square),  The Tower of (London),       The river (Thames),   Big (Ben),       Tower (Bridge),    The Houses of (Parliament),     Buckingham (Palace).

•         Актуализация знаний учащихся. Today we will learn more about the capital of Great Britain. Звучит бой Биг Бэна. Let`s say What is the theme of the lesson? – Yes, you are right! More about London! Now let`s remember up the sights we have learned about.

Ex.1. Put article THE where it is nesessery. Ребята идут с каждого ряда по одному к доске и вешают надписи в один из двух столбцов

Tower of London,  Big  Ben,  Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey,  Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square,  river Thames , Tower Bridge.

Ex.2. Let`s learn a new rhyme about London /cделаем разминку, выучим новый стишок о Лондоне.( Динамическая пауза).

 Up and down, up and down,

Which is the way to London town? Where? Where? Up in the air (поднять глаза к потолку)

Close your eyes (закрыть глаза)

and you are there! (открыть глаза) Включаем экран с презентацией.

•         Изучение нового материала. Закрепление пройденного материала.

Ex.3. Let`s listen the dialogues and see some sights of London . Выбираем двух сильных учеников-туристов в Лондоне. - You are our tourists in London. Our guides will find the pictures of their sights and put them on the blackboard/  Наши гиды находят среди многих картин изображения своих зданий и вешают их на доску.

A: London is so attractive city! What a beautiful building!

Tourist 1: Yes, it is.  What building is it?

P1: It`s Buckingham Palace…..сообщение о дворце.

P2: They are the Houses of Parliament…..сообщение о Парламенте.

T2: Is it a church?

P3: It`s Westminster Abbey…cообщение об Аббатстве.

P4: It`s Greenwich Meridian…..cообщение о Гринвиче.

P5: It`s the most popular Trafalgar Square….cообщение оТрафальгарской площади.

P6: It`s Tower Bridge….. cообщение о Тауэрском мосте.

P7: It`s Big Ben. You can hear its bell now! Включаем бой часов.

Во время их прогулки по Лондону идет презентация на экране «Go around London».

6. Trafalgar Square is the popular place for tourists.
