Тема:“ At the Zoo”
Цели : - обучать диалогической речи; - совершенствовать навыки употребления в речи лексических единиц; - развивать навыки чтения, аудирования; - развивать память, логику и мышление; - воспитывать любовь к животным, прививать правила поведения в зоопарке, - усилить интерес к изучаемому предмету.
Оборудование: мультимедийная доска, презентация, схема диалога, картинки животных, магнитофон.
ХОД УРОКА
I. Warming up
Teacher: Good morning, children. I’m glad to see you. How are you? Today we are going to visit a zoo and improve our vocabulary and speaking skills.(Slide 1). What animals can you see at the zoo?
Teacher: Look at the board. (Slide 2).We should be careful what we say and do when we visit the animals in the zoo. Because some animals are … (Slide 3). What are the animals like? (Students name adjectives as many as they can).
II. Main body
Teacher: Do you know the animals well? Let’s see. I havesome riddles for you. Please guess the animal. (Slide 4).
Teacher: Very well. Let’s play a guessing game. But now the task is to guess and name the animal described by your classmates. Are you ready? Be very attentive. Who would like to describe first?
Students’ descriptions:
It is a bird. It is black and white. It can’t fly. It lives in the Antarctic. It is funny. (Penguin)
It isn’t big. It has got thick fur, small ears and a long tail. It can jump and climb trees very well. It likes bananas. It is cute and playful. (Monkey)
It is a bird. It has got a beautiful long tail, a beak, colorful feathers and wings. It eats seeds and grass. It is proud and noisy. (Peacock)
It is big. It has got thick brown fur, small ears and big paws with sharp claws. It can catch fish and swim very well. It likes honey and berries. It lives in Russia. It is dangerous but cute.(Bear)
It is fast. It is orange and brown. It has got nice spots, a long tail, eyes and ears, a mouth, sharp teeth and paws.it is a big cat. It lives in Africa. It can hide in the grass and hunt very well. It eats small animals. It is clever and strong. (Leopard)
Teacher: Well done. Thank you. Now, I see you know the animals very well and can speak about them for a long time. Animals live all around us but if we want to see exotic ones we should go to the zoo. Do you like the zoo?
Teacher: Two friends Ben and Ann are at the zoo now. Open your books at page 68 exercise 4. Listen to the children’s dialogue and answer the question. Which three animals are in the dialogue?

Teacher: Listen again and find the answers to the next questions. (Slide 5).
1. Does Ann like the zoo? 2. What does giraffe look like? 3. What is giraffe like? 4. Does Ann like monkeys? Why? Why not?
Teacher: Read the dialogue aloud by roles.
Teacher: And now let’s act out the similar dialogues. Use the pictures of the animals, the mind map of the dialogue(Slide 6)and the dialogue in the book as a model. Work with your partner. You will have the time to be ready.
III. Summing up
Teacher: Thank you very much. You’ve worked well. Let’s sum up. What should we do when we visit the zoo? What animals do you like the most and why? So, your marks for the lesson are … Thank you for the lesson. Good bye.
