The Use of Computers in Armed Forces
Hardened computers are designed to operate in extreme conditions and therefore must meet a number of stringent standards. The battlefield is becoming digital, and ground forces are increasingly relying on computers worn by soldiers or embedded in vehicles. They are used for a variety of tasks, from situational awareness to data collection and surveillance, from communication to tracking their forces.
