to repeat the names of the rooms and furniture;

to practice the structure “there is/ there are”

Procedure

I.                  Organization

1)           Greeting

T: Good morning children! Nice to see you! How are you today?

2)  Phonetic drill.

T: Let’s repeat some sounds.

3) Aim.

T: Today we are going to speak about the house and furniture. We’ll read the text about Mr. and Mrs. Tame’s house and review prepositions of places (between, next to, under, on, at). You are going to describe a room using the names of the furniture.

4) Warming up

T: Where do you live in a house or in a flat?

Questions: 1.Where are your toys and games?

2. Where do you brush your teeth?

3. Where do you sleep at night?

4. Where do you cook?

5. Where do you have dinner?

6. Where do you watch TV with your family.

6) Pre-reading activities

We`ll read the text about Mr. and Mrs. Tame’s house.

 T: There are two new words in our text: “downstairs” and “upstairs”. Look at this flashcards. This is the word “stairs”, so “down” mean        and “up” mean .

T: Look at this house. Which rooms are upstairs/ downstairs? Use the constructions “there is…..” “there are……”

Ps: There is a bedroom upstairs.

There is a kitchen downstairs.

There is a living room and a bedroom upstairs

8) Post-reading activities

T: Now, you’ll answer the questions about Mr. and Mrs. Tame’s house and find the picture with the right plan of the house.

Questions: 1. Where is a living room? (Downstairs)

2. Where is a bedroom? (upstairs)

3. Is there a kitchen downstairs?(Yes)

4. Is there a bathroom downstairs? (No)

5. Which room is between the kitchen and a living room? (Dining room)

6. Which room is next to the dining room? (Kitchen)

9) Writing

T: Look through the picture on your cards. What can you see? (This is a bedroom.) Your task is to write the words instead of the pictures.
