Alex liked cars. He read books and watched films about cars. He wanted to have a car very much! So one day Alex told his parents, "Please, please, please, could you help me? I want to build a car!"

"No," said Alex's mom, "You can’t build a car. You are too small."

"No," said Alex's dad, "You can’t build a car. It’s very difficult."

Alex was very sad. He wanted a car. He wanted a fast red sports car! So Alex bought some books and started reading about how people build cars. He went to his uncle’s garage and looked at his car. His uncle showed him how his car worked. Then Alex started building his own car! It was very interesting and he had a lot of fun. He wanted to tell his parents about it but they didn’t listen. They didn’t want to talk about cars. 

After two months, Alex asked his parents to go to the garage with him. In the garage Alex’s parents saw a red car. It was a toy sports car! Alex could sit in it and drive it. Alex's parents were very happy and surprised.

Alex's mom said: "It's a beautiful car!"

Alex's dad said: "It's so big!"

Alex smiled and drove to the park.
