1.     Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!

2.     Good afternoon, teachers and students!

3.     Good afternoon, parents and grandparents!

2. We are happy to welcome you at our annual event devoted to love and friendship.

3. The English week at our gymnasium is coming to its end and today we are going to enjoy our last but not the least performance of the year.

1. Did you like the little angel who recited a poem at the beginning?

2. Yes, sure. She looked so cute.

3. You, girls, are so romantic actually. As for me, I prefer not to use somebody’s poetry. I usually take my phone, dial the number of the person I like and tell all the tender words I wish.

1. So, do I. In my opinion, it’s better to hear a voice than to read messages.

2. Well, I might sound old-fashioned or too romantic, but… I’ll die if I don’t hear Shakespeare…NOW!

3. But do you know how difficult it is to recite Shakespeare? It is written in old English. Sorry, I guess it’s impossible to make your wish come true.

2. But I want it! I want it! I want Shakespeare!!!

3. Ok, ok. I give up! God help me! We need Shakespeare! Right now! Right here!

1. Let the show begin!

1.2.3. The happy Romeo and Juliet!

8 Speakers, Juliet Romeo: Chorus 6 boys 6 girls      singers (all that we have)

FRIAR LAURENCE + his assistant

Part II

1-Two households, both alike in dignity,

In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,

From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,

Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.

2-From forth the fatal loins of these two foes

A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;

3-Whole misadventured piteous overthrows

Do with their death bury their parents' strife.

4-The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,

And the continuance of their parents' rage,

Which, but their children's end, nought could remove.

Танец под песню « Kings Of The World» (танцоры и танцкют и поют одновременно)

Everybody are staying unmoving.

ROMEO

What lady is that, which doth

enrich the hand

Of yonder knight?

Everybody in turn.

I know not, sir.( like echo)

( music, dancing)

ROMEO

[To JULIET] If I profane with my unworthiest hand

This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this:

My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand

To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.

JULIET

Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,

Which mannerly devotion shows in this;

For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,

And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.

ROMEO

Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?

JULIET

Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.

ROMEO

O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do;

They pray, grant thou, lest faith turn to despair.

JULIET

Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake.

ROMEO

Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take.

Thus from my lips, by yours, my sin is purged.

JULIET

Then have my lips the sin that they have took.

ROMEO

Sin from thy lips? O trespass sweetly urged!

Give me my sin again.

Песня Джульеты «Say something»

Chorus

1 -Now old desire doth in his death-bed lie,

And young affection gapes to be his heir;

That fair for which love groan'd for and would die,

With tender Juliet match'd, is now not fair.

2 - Now Romeo is beloved and loves again,

Alike betwitched by the charm of looks,

But to his foe supposed he must complain,

3 - And she steal love's sweet bait from fearful hooks:

Being held a foe, he may not have access

To breathe such vows as lovers use to swear;

And she as much in love, her means much less

4 - To meet her new-beloved any where:

But passion lends them power, time means, to meet

Tempering extremities with extreme sweet.

FRIAR LAURENCE

So smile the heavens upon this holy act,

That after hours with sorrow chide us not!

ROMEO

Amen, amen! but come what sorrow can,

It cannot countervail the exchange of joy

That one short minute gives me in her sight:

Do thou but close our hands with holy words,

Then love-devouring death do what he dare;

It is enough I may but call her mine.

FRIAR  LAURENCE

These violent delights have violent ends

And in their triumph die, like fire and powder

Here comes the lady: O, so light a foot

Will ne'er wear out the everlasting flint

JULIET

Good even to my ghostly confessor.

FRIAR LAURENCE

Romeo shall thank thee, daughter, for us both.

JULIET

As much to him, else is his thanks too much.

FRIAR LAURENCE

Come, come with me, and we will make short work;

For, by your leaves, you shall not stay alone

Till holy church incorporate two in one.

Сцена венчания.

Общий танец под песню «THESE ARE MY RIVERS»

ROMEO

Your eyes, these are my rivers

One glance can start a journey

That takes me to wondrous places

Your eyes, these are my rivers

JULIET

Your arms, these are my mountains

Hold me, and stars seem closer

No one can ever reach us

Your arms, these are my mountains

ROMEO & JULIET

No need to ever wander

We have the world before us

Don't move, let's always stay here

My heart, has found its way here

JULIET

Your smile, your voice, your laughter

New worlds that need exploring

ROMEO

And yet there's no need to leave here

ROMEO & JULIET

these are my rivers

CHORUS

Your eyes, these are my rivers

One glance can start a journey

That takes me to wondrous places

Your eyes, these are my rivers

Your arms, these are my mountains

Hold me, and stars seem closer

No one can ever reach us

Your arms, these are my mountains

Your smile, your voice, your laughter

New worlds that need exploring

And yet there's no need to leave here

These things, they'll be my rivers

Always
