Teacher:  Why are you late, Olya?   

Olya: Because of the sign.      

Teacher: What sign?    

Olya: The one that says, «School Ahead, Go Slowly»   

Teacher: Sit down, very bad!

1)    Teacher: Marsel, come to the board, please. Where’s your homework?

Marsel: I couldn’t do it. There was too much noise at home.  

Teacher: Noise? All evening? What kind of noise?  

Marsel: It was the TV. It was too loud. I couldn’t do my homework.

Teacher: You could have asked them to turn the sound down?

Marsel: No, Mr. There was no one else in the room.     

2)    Teacher: Matvey, why is your test score so low?

Matvey: Because of absence. 

Teacher: You were absent?    

          Matvey: No, the girl next to me was.

3)    Teacher:, tell me please, how many seconds in a minute?      

Pupil: 60    

Teacher: How many minutes in an hour?  

Pupil: 60    

Teacher: Good, the most difficult question, how many seconds in a year? 

Pupil: 12    

Teacher: Twelve? Is it right?

Pupil: Yes it is, January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd…
