What is the weather like today? Is it snowing today? Is snow good for our ecology and environment? Why is it so good? Seasonal snow is an important part of Earth's climate system. Snow cover helps regulate the temperature of the Earth's surface, and once that snow melts, the water helps fill rivers and reservoirs in many regions of the world. When soil does freeze, it locks in gases like carbon and methane, inhibiting тормозят chemical exchanges between the ground and air. Frozen soil also inhibits the movement of water within the soil and on the soil surface. Because the soil is frozen, its surface is sealed over and so it absorbs less new liquid water, leading to more surface runoff. In addition, once soil has frozen, snow's insulating qualities can delay melting.

As you know from Geography lesson, the largest rainforests are in the Amazon River Basin (South America), the Congo River Basin (western Africa), and throughout much of southeast Asia. Smaller rainforests are located in Central America, Madagascar, Australia and nearby islands, India, and other locations in the tropics. Flying over the heart of the Amazon is like flying over an ocean of green. But our nature in dangerous. Please, look, listen this video and try to fill in the gaps spaces.

Of course, all this makes up the flora and fauna of our planet, which we must to protect. And now let's return to the component of flora.
The forest can be divided into 4 layers
the forest floor
the understory
the canopy and
the emergent (layer of larger trees)
Tropical rainforests places near Equator
are forests with tall trees, humid (указываю на перевод слова) and warm climates and warm., and lots of rain. And rainfall (указываю на перевод слова) consist about 12 metres per year.
Humid(указываю на перевод слова) ,hot, wet, because rainforests are located(указываю на перевод слова) in tropical regions, they receive a lot of sunlight. The sunlight is converted to energy by plants through the process of photosynthesis. Since there is a lot of sunlight, there is a lot of energy in the rainforest. This energy is stored in plant vegetation, which is eaten by animals.
Canopy(указываю на перевод слова): the canopy structure of the rainforest provides an abundance изобилие of places for plants to grow and animals to live. The canopy offers sources of food, shelter, and hiding places, It is important to note that many species in the rainforest, especially insects and fungi, have not even been discovered yet by scientists. Every year new species of mammals, birds, frogs, and reptiles are found in rainforests. There are:
Narrow-nosed monkey
Tapir
Sloth
Anteater
Lemur
Rhino
Hummingbird

Please, lets make up sentences with some of them
And now a rest – pause. Listen and relax.
Close your eyes and imagine that you are a tropical plant, the rain is drоpping on you, and you are absorbing this rain water, the birds are singing throughout the forest, the light breeze blows your twigs, the sun peeks out, it warms you with its warm rays. Suddenly it started snowing, a bunch of garbage is being thrown around you, and trees are being cut down one by one. What am I mixed up.

2. Why are they important?
3. Why are they in danger?
4. What tribes (племена) live in the rainforests?
5. What are tropical rainforests?
6. What grows there?
…………………………………………………….
A. Tropical rainforests grow in the hot, wet, humid places near the Equator. The plants and trees in the rainforest grow to different heights. The forest can be divided into four layers (ярус): the forest floor, the understorey(подлесок), the canopy(поросль) and the emergent(верхушки) (layer of larger trees which stick out above all the rest).
……………………………………………………
B. They are important for various reasons. Firstly, they clean and renew the Earth's air supply by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. Secondly, they provide a home to thousands of animal and plant species.
………………………………………….
C. South American rainforests are the home of the wild cocoa plant, from which chocolate is made. The medicines quinine (хинин) and aspirin come from tree bark and cough mixture is from tree resin, both found in rainforests. Some other important products that come from rainforest plants are mahogany wood(красное дерево), rattan(ротанг(пальма)), bananas, paprika, pepper and coffee.
………………………………………………………
D. People are destroying the rainforests at a rate of 115 square miles a day. The trees are cut down and used as building material or fuel. The land on which these forests grow is being used for homes and factories and roads.
………………………………………………………..
E. There are lots of things that we can do to help protect the rainforests. Join an organization which tries to save the rainforests, like Greenpeace. Write letters to politicians in countries where there are rainforests, asking them to stop allowing companies to cut down the trees. Don't buy furniture which is produced from rainforest wood. By acting together, we can really make a difference!

Thank you very much for your work. Hope you are still in good mood. And to make it even better, your marks are: выставление отметок с объяснением.
Our lesson is over. You worked hard. Thank you! I hope you’ll remember that «To hurt the Earth is to hurt yourself». I hope everybody likes it and makes a decision to become a fighter for clean ecology in our village and helps the planet to survive.
