Teacher asks names of body parts and nominates  learners to cut and paste the body parts and face.   eyes, ears, mouth, nose, head Listening to instructions for making a monster. The theme of our lesson today is Making puppet. We learn to make shadows of animals. Where is the shadow of snake? Learners respond by pointing showing and saying This is the shadow of …….. Activity 2.  Teacher demonstrates on an illuminated while board  how to make an animal shadow puppet shape e.g. a bird  Teacher demonstrates Look it’s a bird…fly, bird, fly.. Learners given instructions to make animal shadows  using their hands. Learners practice shapes in groups.  Middle 10­12min F=supports  formative  assessment Primary colours starter,  Hicks and Littlejohn They can find name of the animal.  Individual   In pairs learners come to the board make shapes and  ask What is this? Class answers and then learner says  Fly bird fly and makes shape move. 7min Activity 3     Teacher gives a craft of a dog. Learners cut the parts  of the body and glue it.  In feedbag learners say what animal has/ doesn’t have. F=supports  formative  assessment End 5min Reflection Learners have named all the parts of body.
