My Favourite Season

   There are four seasons in a year. They are winter, spring, summer and autumn. I think all the seasons are beautiful but most of all I like summer.

   In Russia summer begins in June. So there are three summer months. They are June, July and August. The weather is usually warm and dry. The leaves on the trees and the grass are green. There are a lot of berries, fruit and vegetables in summer.

   On the 1^st of June Russian people celebrate Children’s Day. On that day parents give presents to their sons and daughters. They go for a walk to the parks and ride on the attractions.

   On the 12^th of June Russian people celebrate Russia Day. On that day in Moscow the President presents state awards to outstanding Russian people.

   Summer is the time for fun! In summer you can enjoy swimming, playing with your friends, watching TV and riding a bike and scooter.

   I like summer very much!
