Organization moment. ­ Good morning children! I’m glad to see you today. Sit down, please! ­ How are you feeling now? (sad, fine, so­so) ­ Who is on duty today? ­ Who is absent today? ­ What date is it today? ­ What day is it today? Please, look at the window and tell me please: ­ What season is it now? ­ What is the weather like today? ­ Do you like autumn? Why? ­ What can you do in autumn? Do you know these famous buildings and places? Give the names of them.  (Big  Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square etc.)  You must remember that all these sights are situated in one and same country.  What is it name? (Great Britain) That’s right! Today we’ll speak about the ancient historical buildings, about some interesting  facts of UK of GB. 3. Now you’ll listen the GB text, very attention. The UK of GB and NI is situated of the Northwest coast of Europe. The UK  consist of four parts. They are: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.  The area of the UK is some 315 000 sq. km. It’s population is over 87  million people. English is official language.  London is the capital of the UK. GB is a constitutional monarchy. The British Parliament consist of 2  chambers: the House of Lords and the House of Commons.  There are a lot of rivers in GB. The Severn is the longest river, while the  Thames is the deepest and most important one.
