Могут быть краткими, как и на общие вопросы.

Например: известно, что Дон – пилот и у него есть самолёт.
Don is a pilot, isn’t he? Yes, he is.
Don is a teacher, isn’t he? No, he isn’t.
He has a plane, hasn’t he? Yes, he has.

Существуют особые случаи образования разделительных вопросов.

В разделительном вопросе с I am в окончании используется aren’t I?:

e.g. I’m late, aren’t I?
(am I not?)

После let’s используется shall we?

e.g. Let’s go to the park, shall we?

There может быть подлежащим в разделительных вопросах:

e.g. There are a lot of presents under the Christmas tree,
aren’t there?
