Урок на тему «Элвис Пресли» проводился в 8 классе «Б». КЦель урока: 1.Применение изученной лексики по темам: «Музыка» в новых речевых ситуациях. 2. Развивать речевую и коммуникативную компетенции. 3. Воспитание музыкального вкуса, чувства прекрасного, уважения к культуре страны изучаемого языка.
Задачи:
1. Развивать навыки устной диалогической и монологической речи, аудирования, чтения и письма.
2. Повторить прилагательные, практиковать их употребление в устной и письменной речи.
Ожидаемые результаты обучения заключались в следующем: знать факты о музыкальной культуре страны изучаемого языка , демонстрировать навыки аудирования, критического мышления, устной диалогической и монологической речи, чтения и письма, применять новую лексику в устой речи, уметь проводить самооценку и взаимооцену, показать навыки использования ИКТ и работы в малых группах. На уроке применялись такие модули, как диалоговое обучение, критическое мышление, оценивание для обучения, использование ИКТ.Разработка урока о роли музыки в жизни каждого человека

1 THEME : “The Role of Music in our Life”
Цель урока:
1.Применение изученной лексики по темам: «Музыка» в новых речевых ситуациях.
2. Развивать речевую и коммуникативную компетенции.
3. Воспитание музыкального вкуса, чувства прекрасного, уважения к культуре страны
изучаемого языка.
Задачи:
1. Развивать навыки устной диалогической и монологической речи, аудирования,
чтения и письма.
2. Повторить прилагательные, практиковать их употребление в устной и письменной
речи.
Оборудование: аудиозаписи музыкальных произведений, раздаточный материал.
ХОД УРОКА
I.
Organization moment.
Тeacher: Good morning dear friends, good morning dear colleges. I am very glad
to see you here. I would like you to guess what I am speaking about. It is the most
exciting and fascinating thing in the world. We can’t imagine our life without it
now. It is different: slow, fast, calm, noisy, rhythmic, aggressive, romantic and
expressive. You can listen to it everywhere: : in the streets, in the shops, in the
parks, in the cars, at the disco, on TV, over the radio, at home, in a concert hall, at
the seaside and even in a forest.
What is this?
Pupils: It is music.
The theme of the lesson.
T: Yes, you are right, today we’ll speak about different kinds of music, the
influence of music on people and about the role of music in our life.
And if we are going to speak about music let’s start our lesson with the song.
II. Phonetic drill: Britney Spears “Oops!.. I Did It Again”

. What kind of music do you hate?
. Have you ever been in a real concert hall?
. Have you ever heard a concert of a celebrity in the hall?
. What kind of music do you listen more often to?
What sort of music does irritate you?
. Who is you favorite singer? (music band, composer)
. Do you agree that music is an international language? Why?
. Do you play any musical instrument?
. What is your favorite musical instrument?
. Who is a lover of folk music?
What do you think of modern music?
T: Everybody likes listening to music but can we say what music is? Specialists
say that “music is not a combination of pleasant sounds only. It is an art which
reflects life.” If it is an art it must have many styles. What styles of music do you
know?
Pupils name the genres.
T: Yes, you are right. There are a great number of musical styles but we can’t
cover all of them at our lesson. Let’s take only the most common of them. Look at
the blackboard and read them, please:

Rock (hardrock) music
Folk music
Opera

IV. Listening
T: Can you easily identify different types of music? You should listen to a piece of
music, guess what style it is and, if you can, tell the name of the composer, singer
or music band.
(If the pupils guess the piece of music the picture is opened on the whiteboard.)

V. Reading
Read about the attitude of some people towards modern music;
Find negative and positive things in their opinions;
What opinions do you agree or do not agree?

I am sorry now that I was never too concerned about the music my kids listened to
in themid60s and 70s. It was destroying. Parents should be very careful about
cassettes and CDs they buy for their children.

4 Some of the music is immoral. Kids should be listening to music with messages
like staying away from drugs of staying at school. There are some rap songs that
are all right. Kids can dance to a beat but without all these sacrilegious things.

On the whole, I don’t think it’s bad. I am not into heavy rock, but mostly the music
is no worse than what I listened to when I was growing up. I don’t see any sense in
warning labels on records or CDs because who reads labels anyway? Few people

The music is probably way too violent. I can’t find any sense in the lyrics. If the
music doesn’t destroy your mind, it will destroy your ears. I don’t’ think that
banning music is the answer but parents have to be responsible for what their
children listen too.
VI. Work in groups
1) Working in groups of 45 pupils.
T: Teacher: Music makes us think of people and places we love. It can evoke long
forgotten events and feelings we thought we forgot. Music can be beneficial and
harmful.
Discuss the influence of music on people’s mood, state, everyday life, ets.
What feelings does music evoke in you?
What do you remember while listening to music?
You should use the words: appeals to (обращаясь к)…, transforms
(изменяет, преображает), inspires(вдохновляет), entertains
(развлекает), destroys (разрушает), enriches (обогащает), makes think of
(заставляет думать о)…, make remember (напоминает), (evoke) pictures
in the mind(вызывает картины в …).
The leader of each group will make up a conclusion of your discussion.
2) Working in two groups.
(Class is subdivided into two groups. The pupils stand opposite each other.)
T: One group is “for” music, the other is “against”. You should persuade each
other that you are right. Use as many words on topic as you can to give your
reasons.
(Example: Group A: music helps people to better their mood.
Group B: People can give good mood without any music;
People should control their emotions.
5 VII. Conclusion
T: What conclusion can we make at the end of the lesson? What is the role of
music in our life? Why do we listen to music? (Ответы учеников)
I would like to finish the lesson with the quotation of the ancient philosopher Plato:
“Music gave soul to the universe, wings to the mind, fly to the imagination, charm
and gaiety to life”. So, we can say: “Listen to music and be happy!”
You have done a lot of work today. Thank you for your work. Your homework for
the next lesson is to write a composition on the theme: “Music in my life”.
